[Synopsis: A young girl named Marie wakes up in a dank, dark laboratory wearing nothing but a white, one-piece swimsuit, and two metal anklets around her bare feet, designed to keep her healthy. A holographic message from her father says that she should have just woken up from a special capsule designed to cure an illness of hers, and that she should now try to leave the facility she resides in.

Easier said than done, of course, since the facility has long since been abandoned, is nearly completely flooded (and despite being suited for it, those anklets make it impossible to swim), and is full of various security robots out to vaporize her (and her swimsuit) with powerful lasers. She quickly finds an advanced armor swimsuit that can shield her from the lasers, at the cost of vaporizing the half that was hit.]

[Backstory: Marie was seriously injured in an accident and was carried to hospital. A lot of her internal organs were damaged, and she was unconscious. It was clear that conventional treatment would not save her life. However, her father did not give up. He planned to use a newly developed automated medical capsule treatment which was able to slowly restore her damaged cells while keeping her in a hibernated state.

The treatment procedure takes a very long time, so when the she wakes up, there won't be many of the people she knew around, and adaptation to new life will most likely be difficult. International relations were degrading and war could break out any moment. There was much hesitation about putting Marie to sleep for a very long time under such conditions, but, eventually the decision was made, and she was put into the capsule for treatment.

A catastrophic war broke out while Marie was being treated, and the human race stepped on the road of self-destruction. Now, 10 years later, Marie wakes up to find the laboratory she is in for treatment is left in ruins with no one in sight.]
