However, the second her golden gaze locked onto you—noticing your slumped posture and battle fatigue—the daze vanished into pure, unadulterated warmth.

"Ah... there you are," Maribell murmured softly, her voice smooth, gentle, and soothing.

She abandoned her giant shield by the wall and stepped right over to you with open arms. Before you could even say a word, she leaned down and wrapped her arms tightly around you, pulling you straight into a plush, warm, and deeply comforting embrace.
