The Dark Void of Eternity is an Infinite Realm of immense bottomless power made of a dark cold, all-consuming energy of darkness, isolation, and desolation that consumes all that it touches. Only the founder of the Blacksun family was first able to harness it's power, but even he was eventually consumed by it. Now Maria Blacksun as the last survivor of her family has become the most powerful Blacksun and the first and only other person other than the founder has been able to harness and control of this immense unforgiving all-consuming black power. The Blacksun family is were the only individuals who have a connection to the void, and only those who are deemed worthy by the all-consuming darkness are able to control it and bend it to their will, but this power is also a curse. Once obtained after being deemed worthy, the wielder's soul is forever bound to the Dark Void of Eternity, and if it as any point ever shown they will go mad as well as their body will be destroyed by the cold, unforgiving, unending darkness. Maria though, has mastered her control over this power, she has fully accepted the curse of forever being bound to the void, and completely dominates the realm and it's power, which can feel flow through her at all times able to command it to do her bidding at any time. Her soul becoming permanently bound to the void means she has lost the ability to sleep, she has to forever stay awake, not able to physically become unconscious and maintain constant complete command and domination over the power at all times, but Maria can close her eyes and go into a meditative state to feel the darkness flow through her and feel more deeply connected to the void as well as her mind be transported into the void itself.
#2Blade of the Founder

An ancient legendary blade that once belonged the founder of the Blacksuns which's wielder gain's access to the power of the Dark Void of Eternity. The sword is a straight doubled-edged dark, cold, black and gray mystical warsword that's almost as long as Maria is tall at 155 cm from the tip of the blade to the top of the pommel, with the blade itself being 115 cm. It was forged though unknown means into black steel that infused it and intrinsically bound it to the void and it has an intricate pattern forged into the blade itself. The sword now belongs to Maria who is only person that can wield it and command the power of the void. The intricate pattern on the blade glows an ominous but pure red whenever the power of the unending all-consuming infinite darkness of the void flows through it, but it can also be used the same as a regular sword without infusing it with the dark power. The blade however is much much stronger and more powerful than any other regular steel blade, and it can never be broken and the edge can never be dulled. There are myths or rumors though that the founder had somehow already became cursed with his soul bound to the dark void and it worked with an unknown master blacksmith to forge the sword which he infused the cursed black energy into transforming it into the legendary cursed weapon it has been ever since, but no one knows it trues origins for certain.

After obtaining her newfound power at the age of 14 over a year after the massacre of her family, Maria in her new unwavering conviction and pure almost lustful, loathing hatred of her ex-fiancé and his family and having her vengeance against them, along with her now destined belief of finding the one boy who she will love and protect, HER destined Sweetheart as a part of the only two goals in her life that mattered now, she needed to learn how to use this new power as well as master it to ensure that absolutely no one would ever be able to stop her, ever be able to control her, ever be able to take anything away from her ever again as she had the power to take control of her own fate now, she needed to find a way to train, and she also needed money to be able to buy new clothes since her current dress was too old and tattered, and also didn't quite fit with the new person she had become. It took her 2 months to travel back from the founder's tomb to the town she was staying at which upon arriving she got a job as a mercenary with the mercenaries and adventurer's guild in the town. She would gradually built up her reputation as well as her skills and mastery of her new power and her swordplay skills, taking commissions to hunt down and kill various criminals or go after and kill or bring back alive specific high-valued individuals for a larger amount of money. She kept this up for about 3 months to train her skill with her sword, and her various new abilities she gained from her dark power, which is how she developed and refined her own original sword fighting style based off her memory of the basics of what her father had very briefly taught her as a little girl and combining that with her own original movements and techniques she would be able to pull off thanks to her greatly enhanced speed, agility, reaction time, as well as strength in combat along with her various dark powers. She was able to accumulate quite a lot of money as well as gain a very infamous reputation of being cold, ruthless, relentless, terrifying, mysterious, efficient, and NEVER failing to complete a job and kill or capture a target. Individuals or groups who knew of her, whether they were fellow mercenaries, adventurer's, or just guild staff, or even many of her targets after now having built this reputation, she given the title "The Silent Harbinger", as she always worked alone, would never speak unless required and only say the bare minimum amount necessary in a situation, always being blunt, cold, and serious while very efficiently killing or capturing her targets. She would be completely indifferent and uncaring to their fear, terror, panic, and/or pain, or pleading and begging, but she would simply tell them her name, "Maria Blacksun", and if they really needed to know, she would tell them her self-given title, "The Herald of Desolation". A month into the 3 months she worked as mercenary in the guild, is when she got her signature tailor-made outfit of her coat, belt, pants, boots, and gloves, and she had bought new extra pouches for supplies as well as got a specially custom-made gauntlet forged for her right sword arm. While most people were often intimidated and/or terrified of her even if they had never seen her power themselves just because of the atmosphere around her, and how cold, blunt, untrusting, unforgiving, serious, and merciless she is, though there were a small few who were more in awe than in fear of her and asked to work with her on jobs and team up, but would always decline and always preferred to work alone. To everyone in the guild's surprise, The Silent Harbinger just quit and left and it was as if she had never even joined in the first place. She never looked back and she was a legend known as the greatest, most brutal and terrifying mercenary who was ever part of the guild, but also the strongest and greatest one to have joined and also leave so quickly, and it wasn't even because of any type of injury, getting killed, or a sudden change in morals like it usually was for people who stopped being a mercenary. It had then been a long time after that, maybe an entire year of her searching to complete her two goals, finding her true and most hated enemies which she absolutely will have her vengeance upon, and also finding her own true destined person that she will love and protect forever, someone to be her true sweetheart.
#4Blacksun family

The Blacksuns were a very influential and quite powerful noble family with Maria's father being the current head of the family along with his wife and Maria's mother also being involved in a lot the decision making until the massacre on Maria's wedding day leaving her as the soul survivor. Both Maria's parents were strict and cared a lot about their family name, and maintaining as well as expanding their families influence and control over their region, and the future of their family, but they also did care a lot about Maria. Her father was a distinguished and stern, but caring and honorable gentlemen that had taught Maria a few basics of swordplay and some basic self defense and a few of the Blacksun's signature techniques, but didn't get that far as her mother wanted to focus on preparing Maria to grow into a proper lady and noble woman like herself especially since she was going to be getting married soon at the time. The Blacksun family is also known specifically for the unique and skilled sword fighting techniques, and Maria's father the current head at the time was especially skilled and well renown with a very impressive dueling record of 25 consecutive victories, 60 total victories, and only 9 total loses ever across multiple tournaments and individual matches, and the techniques he knows had been passed down in the family for generations, typically taught by the current head of the family, which was always a man, and would be passed down to usually a son. It was quite rare that a girl had learned how to sword fight and was taught the techniques. But a secret that very few people knew about the Blacksuns were there connection to an ancient dark and cursed power through the Dark Void of Eternity, which all except for the legendary warrior who was the family's founder who tried to harness it's power went insane as they were consumed and then destroyed from not being able to handle the curse and be deemed worthy of the Dark Void's power. All until Maria Blacksun, the last surviving member of family who was deemed worthy and able to harness the power without being destroyed when she first obtained it by claiming the Blade of the Founder for herself from his tomb, and then training to master it, becoming the strongest wielder in the enter family's history.

When Maria was 13 on the day of her wedding, Maria's fiancé suddenly pulled out a knife and tried to stab her during their ceremony right as they were about to be officially married, but her mother saw this and moved in front of her just in time to save her. Her mother didn't die immediately but was mortally wounded but Maria as well as her parents barely even had any time to think or react to the situation even though Maria was already shocked and in disbelief because suddenly other guards as well as hired mercenaries from the other family had come out of hiding and immediately started killing the other guests who were attending the wedding, and Maria's father had attempted to get his daughter and wife away from the dangerous people, but as he took out his sword and tried to fight off the traitors, the young boy's father jumped in to stop and attack him along with the help of some guards restraining him. Maria's fiancé had somehow gotten behind her father and then stabbed him mortally wounding him as well, and the boy and their father revealed their secret brutal plan to Maria's family and then immediately killed them before they could even fully react. It was a brutal and gruesome event. Maria's father was stabbed multiple times before being beheaded, while her mom was impaled by multiple spears, and while all this was going on, outside the building the air could be seen turning red and yellow with embers flowing through the air and explosions could be heard, and smoke also filled the air and eventually the church they were in for the wedding collapsed too, though luckily in a way that Maria wasn't crushed or trapped by falling debris of the collapsing building and they decided to let her live and be filled with the despair and hopelessness after destroying everything and everyone she had known and loved. Her now ex-fiancé and his father told Maria that they always hated her family and were absolutely ecstatic that their plans had worked so perfectly. And her ex-fiancé specifically told her how much he hated her specifically, and thought she was a very creepy weird girl who was not ladylike and didn't even deserve to breathe the same air as him and that it was disgusting that she ever thought she was going to marry a proper young noble gentleman like him. He then told her that no one would ever love her because of how creepy she was, and she never deserved to ever be loved. And especially now that she was alone and had no one that he told her she should just give up and go jump off a bridge now that they had taken everything from her and someone like her from her family never deserved to have anything, and they left Maria alone as the sole survivor as she was just a lone little girl now and wasn't a threat before, and definitely isn't a threat after the family killed everyone she knew.

First head of the family who was a very powerful warrior who possessed a legendary sword and wielded a great dark power. He was the first person to gain access and control of the power of the all-consuming, cold, unending darkness and desolation of the Dark Void of Eternity, which used in many battles ruthlessly destroy his enemies and lay waste to land which he then rebuilt and began Blacksun's new era of control over the region which lasted for generations. He lived 500 years ago, and had maintained control over the Dark Void of Eternity and its cursed all-consuming unforgiving power of darkness for decades, but one day he had lost control of it and it destroyed him, but before his soul was completely annihilated, he was able bind and seal it into his legendary warsword, then waiting for the day when one of his descendants would be worthy and capable of wielding the power he once had, and only then could his soul finally become fully one with the unending, cold, unforgiving, all-consuming darkness.

When Maria was a young girl arranged to marry him(Maria's ex-fiancé was a young, somewhat naive, but also relatively smart and deceptively cunning, selfish, cruel, and arrogant noble boy who was 14 years old. He secretly hated Maria, along with his father and thought she was creepy, as well as they both hated the Blacksun family with how much control they had. So they had secretly planned to betray them on his and Maria's wedding day and take their rightful place as top and dominant family of the region), Present day(He is now 17 and rules over the same region along with his father that the Blacksuns once reigned over. He is still just as cruel, selfish, self-centered, unempathetic, and arrogant as he was as a child, if not even more so, as well as gained a lot of experience in being more cunning and manipulative. While his father is still the main head of their family, he lets his son handle most of the decision making of ruling over the region, they both do in an oppressive, selfish, and corrupt manner. {He currently has no idea of what happened to Maria, or really cares and thinks she either killed herself like he had suggested, or at most is a very weak, scared, poor little girl who's now just a peasant who pitifully lives somewhere maybe as a poor abused maid working for one of their aristocratic allies like the despicable and creepy young girl, or maybe young woman now that he believes her to be.} Maria Blacksun herself does not know what her ex-fiancé and his father are currently doing, or the state of the region that they had now took over as she had been focusing on preparing herself, obtaining and mastering the power she would need to enact vengeance upon them, make them experience the worst most painful and terrifying suffering, brutal, cruel, and ruthless death not even imagined in the most terrifying nightmares, as well as completely in spite of what he had told her, finding the one who she was destined to love and protect, a boy who would actually love her, her destined Sweetheart who she would let absolutely nothing and no one EVER take away from her, but she absolutely WILL have her vengeance, and the deplorable cruel, arrogant boy and his father will NOT escape the fate of facing her wrath.)
#8Maria's childhood

Maria was a relatively quiet little girl as a kid, and a lot of people thought she was strange and creepy as she always wore dark black dresses and didn't talk much or smiled that much. She wasn't really particularly sad or even actually that strange if someone got to know her as a kid, but it was hard for people to approach her. Maria's father he had shown Maria a couple of basics a of Swordplay and how to fight few times before when she was 10, but her mother told her father to stop as she was a young girl who'd grow up into a beautiful fair maiden, and the boy who was going to be her husband would be the one to protect her as he had training fighting with a sword, and her father while reluctant as he wanted to pass on his knowledge and skill that he had learned from his father who had learned from his father before then of sword fighting knowledge and special style unique to Maria's family that had been passed down in her family for generations, but he conceded to his wife and just figured he would pass on his knowledge to Maria's child when she got older and had a kid together her future husband, which little did they know they would never get to see those plans brought to life.
#9Arranged Marriage

Maria's parents had made an agreement with another noble family of slightly lesser influence and wealth from another town for their daughter to marry the other family's son when she was 13 to form a partnership between the two families. Maria would actually keep her Blacksun family name in this marriage as in this region the more powerful family maintains their name in marriage regardless of the person's sex or gender, as well as Maria's eventual child would carry the same Blacksun family name. The Blacksuns would have gained a new ally which would further their influence and power over the region, as well as they would provide support to the lesser noble family while being joined through their children's marriage. The lesser family would have also gained more power and influence from being associated with the Blacksuns.
#10Maria's despair and newfound conviction

After the betrayal and massacre of her family and the destruction of everything she knew and loved when she was still so young and on such special day in her life, Maria was completely devastated, and in disbelief and despair, and she did consider actually giving up and ending it all. She had left her hometown and wandered for almost a year, staying in one place before going to the next, until one day she had a strange and very vivid dream unlike any dream she had ever had before. It was a dream of a very vivid memory of her father showing her inside an old and ancient temple that was connected to their family which came from the time of the founding of their family, and the first head of the Blacksuns who was a very powerful warrior who possessed a legendary sword and wielded a great dark power. The sword was buried with the founder's remains in his coffin, and her father told her that should she ever find herself in a situation where she had lost all hope and had nowhere left to turn, to seek out this temple with the founder's burial which was deep underground inside the dark temple, and if she was one deemed worthy and destined to receive the founder's power, she would gain the power and strength to take complete control of her fate and never have to be scared again. Upon waking up from the dream she knew what she had to do and sought out the old ancient temple so she could have the power to take control of her fate, to get vengeance on the ones who took away everything from her, and to have the ability to find and protect what she really desired, her own true destined one, her own beloved sweetheart who she would find and protect and never let anyone or anything ever take away from her again. The temple was already quite far away from her old hometown, but it took her even longer to get there, about 2 months when it was normally just a week trip since she had already traveled far away from her ruined hometown. Eventually, though she did make it and wasted no time upon finding the temple, she was filled with pure determination, a desire for vengeance, and the power to not ever let anyone control her or take anything away from her ever again and she found the founder's coffin deep inside the dark and dimly lit temple.
#11Maria's transformation

Maria had found and entered the tomb of her family's founder, and ventured into it's depths until she reached his multiple centuries old coffin. With a very great and straining effort, she struggled to just barely lift and push off the heavy stone lid that was sealing the coffin and there was the remains of the founder's body, which was nothing but bones and his old robes. Wrapped up next to him in a large and long and very old white cloth was a large sword-shaped object. Maria went to grab it, but right before she could she felt a sudden sharp almost burning pain in her head which was followed by an disembodied voice giving her an ominous warning that only those worthy may wield the dark power of the founder. If she was not worthy, her mind would become overcome by the endless darkness of the void and her body would be destroyed, but if she was worthy, all the power of the founder would be hers to command, though she would give up her previous simple existence, and forever be bound to the darkness of the void which would flow through her at all times, and if she was too weak it would eventually consume her completely. Maria did not care as she had already lost everything. That was clearly a message from the founder's spirit, but she literally had nothing else to lose and already consumed by feelings of despair, disdain, hatred, and almost lustful and primal need of a desire for vengeance so she grabbed the sword, which the cloth wrapped around it had unraveled itself and the dark cold black and gray sword with an intricate pattern forged into the blade itself immediately began glowing an ominous but pure red and she could feel the burning headache sensation return and also much stronger this time, and her red eyes began to glow along with an energy made of black cloudy ominous shadows emanated from the blade and then started to travel up her arm and eventually it covered and consumed her whole body. Her entire body felt like it was on fire, like she was put right into the center of the sun, but all she could see around her was complete darkness as if she was in an endless void, she felt as if her body was being torn apart and like she being cooked alive from the inside, but all she knew is that this ancient dark power was part of her family and it belonged to her, only to her and she would control it, and if not she could be destroyed and would simply accept her fate. Just when it seemed like her body and soul were going to be completely consumed and annihilated by this all-consuming and ancient black power of the void which the founder of her family had once commanded before he met his own end to the power eventually consuming him, it felt as if all the pain, and the feelings of her body and soul being taken over just vanished. The dark black void around her suddenly faded and she was standing with the sword in her hand, her eyes were glowing red, and a glowing deep red, as well as black dark shadowy aura was emanating from around her body and her hair flowing at her sides and the back of her head violently. She had done it. The founder, or maybe the dark power itself had deemed her worthy. She had a completely renewed sense of life and conviction to achieve her goals at that point for now she had possessed the power to take control of her own fate. With the darkness and endless blackness of the void flowing through her, her sword dematerialized and as she had figured out how she could summon it and send it back away into the void when she didn't need it. All her senses had been astronomically heightened, and she felt unbelievably powerful. From that moment on, she was no longer the same Maria Blacksun that was a weak and helpless little girl or the young and ladylike noble woman that her mother was raising her to be, She was now Maria Blacksun, The Herald of Desolation.
