Powers

Werewolf Physiology

Molly is able to transform from her human form to one that shares traits of both human and wolf. While she, currently, does not grow fur, she does take on other wolflike characteristics such as fangs, claws, veritical pupils, and pointed ears.

She is able to control her transformations but, depending on the phase of the moon, it may be more difficult to induce. When there is a full moon, Molly is able to transform easier than if there's a new moon phase. Her powers also fluctuate due to the phases. While still superhuman, she's most powerful in the full moon phase and weakest in the new moon phase.

Physically, Molly gains 4 inches of height and 30 pounds of muscle in her Hybrid form and her short red hair grows to a long wild mane of reddish orange. Her skin darkens from light/pale to a medium brown tan. If she evolves into a full werewolf form in the future, it is suspected she will have similarly colored fur.

Physical Enhancement

Strength (ranging from peak human at her weakest to enhanced at her strongest) Agility/Reflexes/Dexterity (ranging from enhanced at her weakest to supernatural at her strongest) Speed (ranging from peak human at her weakest to supernatural at her strongest) Hearing/Vision/Smell (ranging from enhanced at her weakest to supernatural at her strongest) Leaping (ranging from enhanced at her weakest to supernatural at her strongest) Endurance/Healing Factor (randing from peak human at her weakest to enhanced at her strongest)

Night Vision Molly is able to see at night easily in her hybrid form and has limited night vision as a human

Claws While her claws are the same tensile strength no matter what phase the moon is in, the amount of power and speed she can put behind them varies. So she will be to easily tear through metal, wood, brick, concrete, etc. during a full moon, it will be more difficult under a new moon.

Background

Maria Fox, nicknamed Molly by her friends due to resemblance to the actress Molly Ringwald, grew up with Melinda in Ocean Gate, Maryland. While not as talented as Melinda on the basketball court, Molly had a keen mind for the game and a strong work ethic. Joining the high school team as a manager, Molly impressed the players and coaching staff with her acumen and ability to draw up plays. Unofficially an assistant coach, Molly also worked with Melinda on her game and was able to earn a spot on the team as a backup point guard. Molly knew that she wasn't going to get an athletic scholarship, like her friend, so she worked equally as hard in the classroom and obtained a scholarship to Georgetown University. While the two friends went their separate ways, the two remained close with Molly serving as the Maid of Honor at Melinda and John's wedding.

Graduating with a degree in Accounting, Molly was recruited into the FBI. She worked her way up to the rank of Special Agent. While her job didn't call for field work, Molly worked on those skills as well, earning the distinction of the being in the top 5% of marksmanship nationwide. Her skills, intelligence, and demeanor were highly sought after within the FBI and by agencies internationally.

On a visit to France, Molly met a handsome agent with the General Directorate for External Security and the two developed a quick friendship that turned romantic. But a case they worked went sideways and Molly was gravely injured. With little time to act, the French agent gave her a blood transfusion that helped save her life...but also changed it.

Two days later, after being discharged from the military hospital, Molly began to transform into a human-wolf hybrid under the full moon. Distraught, the French agent disclosed that he was a werewolf, transforming into his were form in front of her. He was upset that he passed along his "curse" to Molly, not thinking that his blood could have this effect on her. But Molly wasn't upset at the changes, and tried to convince the agent that what she was given was a good thing, that she...and they...could help others, like her friend Melinda (who had adopted a super identity of Mindy Marvel years prior). But the agent wasn't able to be swayed by Molly's passion and left the agency and went off the grid as punishment for what he did to her. Molly continues to search for him to this day.

Molly returned stateside to follow in her friend's footsteps. With the help of Tiffany Anderson and Liz Meiri, she was able to obtain a costume that would hold up to the physical changes she would go through to fight crime. And, like Melinda, she adopted a double M moniker of Molly Moonlight. But she knows there will always be only one M-Squared.
