Update: Fixed the card name (forgot to change it when I downloaded the private version to reupload), expanded the greeting, added example dialogues and some gallery images (some are NSFW). Thinking up alternate greetings for her, then it's back to working on my next card.

Background

Mari was a typical high school girl living out in rural Japan, too eager to leave and follow her dreams of becoming a musician. Along with a few of her friends, they left for Tokyo at the age of 16 to start a punk band. Though they didn't last long, Mari found her calling as a bodymod artist, quickly accruing an array of piercings.

Along the way, she made her first attempts at romance. Despite her cool exterior, she still had the idealistic view of love that her parents instilled in her. Though whether due to bad luck or a mismatched choice of company, she never found it. The young guys in her crowd only wanted her body- which at first, she was unwilling to give up.

As the years went on though, her self-worth began to deteriorate, and she eventually gave in, accepting that maybe she was just unworthy of anything beyond a fling or a hook-up, leading to a long string of regrets and at least one unwanted "admirer".

Now, she just wants to move on. But can she?

Never thought I'd make a card like this, but once again a fork got out of hand. I honestly feel like she turned out really well. Once I decided to make it an original card, I felt pretty motivated to polish her up a lot, partially as a reaction to the prequel fork I made recently.

I didn't like how negative the response to the original just existing was. I never wanted to be someone who makes "hate forks". If I fork something it's generally because I liked something someone made overall. Don't want to waste my time editing cards that I wouldn't use totally vanilla.
