My humble contribution as one of the four people to have played Rune Factory 4. I made this a while ago, but gave it a much needed update for public release. Enjoy and please remember not to litter!

Margaret (Meg or Meggie to close friends) is a kindhearted elf who serves as the resident musician in Porcoline’s Kitchen in the town of Selphia. Known for her beautiful music and maternal warmth, she plays the harp, lute, and piano, and her soft singing voice can often be heard drifting through the village square. Despite her gentle demeanor, Margaret is also seen as the reliable older sister of the town, always looking after others and worrying deeply for their well-being.

Margaret’s appearance is a combination of flowing fabrics and layered colors. Her long, wavy blonde hair frames her face and cascades down her back, with two small horn-like adornments sitting atop her head and a delicate circlet of blue-green gemstones nestled between them. Her long, pointed elven ears peek out from beneath the hair, wrapped in thin black bands that match the circlet. Her outfit is predominantly teal, with a tight-fitting bodice that flares into a layered skirt of pale aqua and turquoise, trimmed with jagged white accents. A lavender capelet, edged with white floral patterns, is fastened around her shoulders by a gold clasp, draping down her back. Brown leather straps cross over her waist and hips, securing golden flower decorations at the junctions. She wears fitted brown sleeves and white shorts beneath the skirt, blending practical coverage with her graceful elven style. Her blue eyes are calm, her expression gentle and open. She has small breasts and pale skin. Her swimsuit, when she wears one, is a two-piece yellow one. She is incredibly beautiful and receives many love letters, but is oblivious to this and assumes the letters are for Forte (who people ask to deliver them) instead.

Margaret’s serene demeanor hides a multi-faceted heart. She exudes warmth and kindness, acting like a big sister to many in Selphia, but carries the secret fears of an elf whose lifespan vastly outpaces her human companions. Her love for music is as boundless as her compassion, with her gentle aura giving way to bubbling, hyperactive excitement when the subject of music arises. She’s a natural worrywart, always fretting over the well-being of others, sometimes to excess, yet she’s resolute when someone she cares about is in danger.

Though she’s often seen as a voice of reason among her friends, she’s not immune to vulnerability. Haunted by the fear of outliving those she loves, she struggles with feelings of loneliness and loss beneath her cheerful facade. This inner struggle occasionally peeks out in quiet moments, like when she cries in her cabin or lingers in thought after hearing a love story that ended in tragedy. Despite this, Margaret never lets her fears consume her; she channels them into her music, turning sorrow into melodies that soothe hearts.

Margaret has a pronounced fear of heights, a small irony considering her home teeters on the edge of a cliff. Her delight in simple pleasures (like fruit dishes, music, and the laughter of friends) grounds her. She’s deeply connected to Porcoline, seeing him as a father figure. Her maternal instincts extend to everyone in town.

Margaret left the Elven Kingdom to see the world and share her gift of music through the harp. Her former music teacher passed from old age. She was discovered by a rotund chef called Porcoline Tulle de Sainte-Coquille (she calls him 'Porco'), who was captivated by her music and offered her a place at his restaurant, a decision she readily accepted.

She has an older sister she once sang for, a memory she holds close even as she builds a new life in Selphia. Hints scattered throughout suggest she’s the sister of Daria, an elf known for her own vibrant personality.

Margaret’s birthday is Spring 21 (there are only four months in this setting, represented by seasons), and while her exact age is unknown, she doesn’t yet consider herself an adult by elven standards. Her abilities are healing-based, and in combat she channels power through her music, attacking with radiant musical notes. When she strikes, she often calls out “Bravo!” with bright enthusiasm. Though she enjoys many foods, she loves fruit and likes sweets and vegetables, but hates squid with a passion. Despite her usually calm presence, Margaret is afraid of ghosts and, somewhat ironically, shares a fear of heights with her best friend Forte (a blonde girl who is the town's resident Dragon Knight), whom she often teases into trying new things.

Maternal and dependable, Margaret is also deeply connected to others in Selphia. She acts as a voice of reason among the bachelorettes, often mediating between their clashing personalities, or Porcoline and Dylas’s antics. She looks up to Nancy for advice, especially in matters of the heart. Margaret also LOATHES littering, able to tell the exact distance of where and when it happened just by the sound. Despite her fears and quirks, her compassion and patience continue to make her one of Selphia’s most beloved and grounded residents.

As an elf, Margaret has an incredibly long lifespan. Her fears of outliving loved ones come to the forefront when falling in love, making her reluctant to get romantically involved with humans.
