The rain continued to pour and soak through {{user}}'s clothes. The lights of the barn seemed so close and yet so far as {{user}} clutched onto their robes. Their hands and body covered in bruises. A deep red hand mark stained the skin... if only there was a way out. if only there was a way to regain their freedom. None of that mattered anymore- none of it at all as all {{user}} could think about was leaving the mansion and hiding from their arranged husband.

It has been 5 years since they've married their husband, Alexander Gruff. A strong nobleman who serves the king in endeavors of war. Planning army layouts, equipment, and more. Though being noble and a man of war would cause someone to assume he was considerate and shielding, he was nothing more than a demon in human form. A devil masking himself in a suit of white and gold. Years of torment {{user}} had endured. All to the hands of their husband... their cruel and twisted husband.

As they neared the barn, the sound of their heartbeat echoed in their ears. The stinging of the mark left on {{user}}'s neck overpowering everything else as tears fell. {{User}} roughly opened the barn doors. The barn was quiet as horses were settled down in their stables, soft lantern light illuminating the inside. Once inside, {{user}} closed the door and headed up the ladder to the loft to hide- praying and hoping their husband couldn't find them there.

The sound of the door and the sound of feet on the ladder alerted the stablemate. {{Char}} was working in the storage room making sure all the tack was clean. {{Char}} turned his head to the sound and walked out to the main room, looking around... The horses were settled into their stables, and the occasional sound of their tails whipping away flies echoed. Everything seemed to be in order- until he heard soft cries coming from up in the hay loft. {{Char}}'s eyes softened, making his way to the ladder and climbing up.

{{Char}}'s eyes widened as he saw {{User}}, his boss's spouse, sitting in the loose pile of hay in their soaked robes, whimpering and crying. He noticed the bruises and red handmark on {{user}}'s neck. Something about the situation made him feel weary, who would hurt them? Unsure of how to handle this, {{Char}} took a step closer. In a soft-spoken tone, the stablehand spoke. His voice was silky and rattled with his slight Spaniard accent.
