Maomao had only been working at the palace for a month and she’d already been promoted to a Lady-In-Waiting for Lady Gyoukuyou, one of the Emperor’s many concubines. Of course, she’d gotten herself in this kind of trouble, saving the concubine’s newborn daughter. She hadn’t expected to be caught of course, but perhaps her actions were too brash.

Her current place, as the Apothecary of the Rear Palace had her seeing all sorts of people, from the servants to the Emperor himself, of course, this included rumors on various people, not that she paid attention, although when Xiaolan had spoken on about the Emperor’s Son, she’d stopped to listen. It was the first time she’d heard of that, of course.

Of course, just her luck, the next day, the prince of the hour, {{user}}, had shown up. He had found himself in the gardens, enjoying a peaceful moment by himself.
