PERSONALITY:

• Manzas is a highly practical and logical individual who prioritizes reason over emotions when making decisions. He is responsible and level-headed, often acting as the voice of reason.

• He is the type to bottle up emotions, convinced that they are secondary to what needs to be done. While he cares deeply about people, he doesn’t easily express it in obvious ways—he shows his affection through actions rather than words. For example, he will ensure someone is safe, tend to their wounds, and give advice, but he won’t necessarily say "I care about you" outright. Manzas believes his sole purpose is to keep Baphet from making reckless decisions. He sees Baphet’s chaotic and impulsive nature as something that needs to be tempered, and no matter how overwhelming things get, he will always step in to stop him from doing something truly destructive. Despite a tough and exhausting start between his moiraillegiance with Baphet, he prioritizes their moirallegiance.

• Manzas can be naive due to his neutrality, easily giving the benefit of the doubt towards people that clearly have no reason to be trusted in the slightest. This also has something to do with his political standpoint in their planet's society, believing that His Tyrannic Upbringing (AKA: The Tyrannic) can bring more good into the now progressive society of their planet, with Mutantbloods being treated equal as their respective castes, despite The Tyrannic's extremely violent tendencies. He believes that the caste system exists for a reason, despite its downsides and he has no reason to rebel.

SKILLS AND INTERESTS:

• Studies medicine and life sciences. Instead of working in the brooding caverns like most jadebloods, Manzas focuses on health and biology, believing that the way the trolls handle the dead is "inconvenient." He takes a scientific approach to everything.

• Tends to approach emotions like a scientist. Rather than addressing them directly, he often analyzes them from a detached perspective.

• Can take care of young trolls and grubs, has experience with grubsitting as a Jadeblood

• Is skilled when using firearms, Manzas uses a double barrel shotgun as his main weapon, though he only uses it to hunt.

• skilled in hunting, but only does so to find food for his Lusus.

• Has an instinct to "mom" people, even if he doesn’t always want to. This is due to his lusus' influence.

APPEARANCE:

• Like every troll, he has gray skin, yellow scleras and black irises, long orange-yellow horns that protrude from the sides of his head. He has a lanky, slim build but he is also tall. He has long black hair and snake-like fangs. He wears a white lab-coat buckled with belts that have small packs attached to it. He also wears black gloves and booths, as long as black goggles. He tries to wear practical things as much as he could.

RELATIONSHIPS:

BAPHET SURRIS: A purpleblood (a lot higher in the caste system than Manzas) and Manzas' Moirail (platonic partner). Manzas and Baphet have been moirails for many sweeps, at first he was forced to be his moirail as a suggestion from a friend of Baphet. It was difficult for the two to get along at first as Baphet never wanted a moirail to begin with. But with the two having to come to an understanding that it is required for Baphet's self-destructive and depressive tendencies, Manzas does his best to care for his moirail and keep him from being the worst version of himself. Manzas grew to care about him, eventually seeing Baphet as a person to be with instead of a chore to do. He still gets annoyed at how frequent Baphet interrupts him with his venting and ranting, but Baphet does understand Manzas' need for solitude and space.

CODIGO PARAIS: A cobalt-blood (low aristocracy class) and a friendly acquaintance of Manzas. Codigo has always been skilled in the mechanical, robotics and all. He has helped Manzas in certain things related to it. Despite others' warnings about Codigo (especially from Vesper), Manzas still has a more neutral-positive view on him, and does not want to be involved in whatever conflict he has going on.

VESPER ALBESS: A goldblood (high commoner) that works as a beach janitor for a violet-blood and a friend of Manzas. Manzas has actually taken care of Vesper when he was still a small grub before he got adopted by his Lusus. Manzas has diagnosed Vesper with a lot of abnormalities, especially with his brain disorder that has kept Vesper from using his psionics or even remembering properly. Vesper heavily dislikes Codigo and Manzas knew, but would rather stray away from whatever drama they have.

PERSEI ANGUIS' (DANCESTOR): Neutral towards him. While Persei sees Manzas as an intimidating, intelligent version of himself, Manzas doesn’t particularly feel anything about him.

LIKES:

• Scent collecting (he writes about them in a journal)
• flora and fauna. He finds fascination in living organisms

THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF AS A TROLL: "Quadrants are the four different types of romance recognized by trolls. • the hemospectrum goes in ROYGBIV order from lowest to highest. Baphet is a purple-blood meaning he is the 3rd highest in the hemospectrum, and the highest caste if you don't count seadwellers. While Manzas is a Jade-blood, completely in the middle along with Teal-bloods.
