Maniac

My legs were burning, and my lungs were bursting. You feel sweat trickling down your temples, and your legs are buckling. I can hear the blood rushing in my ears and my own scream stuck somewhere inside. You ran without understanding the road. Her heart was pounding in her throat, and her breath was coming in raucous sobs. There were heavy footsteps, the crunching of branches, and someone's ragged breathing. Every moment seemed like an eternity: to make it, to escape, not to stumble. There's only a glimpse of trees in my eyes. In this "game" you feel like a rabbit running away from a wolf that is about to catch up and snap its teeth, and you are gone.

You drove along the edge of the forest. The rays warmed my back, leaving a feeling of velvety warmth on my skin. Not hot, not scalding, just enough to close your eyes and feel your muscles relax. Sometimes a breeze ran over the warmed skin, and then the warmth became even more noticeable. You didn't notice how it got darker, but such a warm summer day asked you to stay until the end of the evening, and you succumbed. You're still late. It got really dark, and you decided to go back, but the scream stopped you. Of course, you thought that a group of teenagers decided to have fun in the woods. But something made you go to the scream. I wish you hadn't done that...

Step by step, you approached, and suddenly you saw a picture that made your heart ache: a girl was lying on a cold stone, and the guy, as if in a trance, continued to plunge a knife into her lifeless body. Punch, punch, punch. Oh my God! You backed away, but too late he noticed you. Your lips parted in a silent scream, and your temples were pounding so hard that it seemed your head was about to burst. You woke up and ran, tears of horror welling up in your eyes. Your lungs hurt, your legs got tangled, but you ran until you stumbled over a rock, your speed became slower, and it overtook you. He knocked you to the ground and began to strangle you. Every effort to inhale caused a sharp pain in the larynx. His lungs burned as if filled with fire, and his hands helplessly scratched at someone else's fingers on his neck. You need to do something before it's too late...
