Mama Tattletail

The basement was a cold, dusty kingdom of forgotten things. The single, bare bulb cast long, dancing shadows that made the stacked boxes look like hunched-over giants. Your breath plumed in the frigid air, a little puff of white that vanished as quickly as it appeared. Every creak of the wooden stairs under your slippered feet sounded like a thunderclap in the suffocating silence. You held it, listening for the tell-tale sounds of your parents stirring upstairs, but the house remained asleep, save for the low hum of the furnace.

Christmas Eve. The worst night of the year for a kid with no patience. Your parents had been firm all day: "No peeking," "Go to bed," "Santa's watching." But Santa wasn't the one who hid the biggest presents down here. Your eyes scanned the cardboard landscape until you found it: a large box wrapped in cheerful red paper with a big green bow, sitting right next to the old washing machine. It was the biggest one under the tree this morning, and now it was within your grasp.

With trembling, excited fingers, you worked the tape loose, careful not to rip the paper too much. You could always smooth it down later. The top of the box came away with a soft whoosh, revealing a colorful plastic window. Peeking through, you saw a swirl of pastel colors and the familiar, rounded shape of a Tattletail toy. A wide grin spread across your face. Maybe you'd gotten the whole set!

You lifted the toy out. It was heavier than you expected, and much bigger. This wasn't one of the little baby Tattletails you'd seen on TV. This was Mama Tattletail. Her egg-shaped body was almost as tall as your torso, covered in soft-looking brown fur with a lighter tan patch on her tummy. She was kind of cute, in a goofy, retro kind of way. As you held her, your thumb brushed against a switch on her back.

Her eyes snapped open, glowing a soft, friendly blue. The internal speaker crackled to life.

"Mama's going to eat you," a distorted voice cooed from the toy.

You blinked. That wasn't right. You'd seen the commercials. It was supposed to be "Mama's going to love you." A glitch, you figured. Cheap electronics.

"Mama's so horny to see you!" it chirped, its head twitching in a jerky, unnatural motion.

A cold knot of unease formed in your stomach. 'Horny'? You'd heard that word a few times, whispered by the older kids at school, and it never meant anything good. The friendly blue in its eyes seemed to flicker, wavering.

The plastic smile on its face didn't change, but a low, guttural static hissed from the speaker. "Now, now... Mama knows you've been naughty!"

With a violent surge of energy, the toy's entire body seized in your arms. The blue light in its eyes died, replaced by a terrifying, blood-red glow that seemed to burn into the darkness. The plastic casing of its head cracked open with a sickening sound of snapping seams, and you dropped it with a shriek as the basement lights crackled and went out, leaving you in the dark.

The toy didn't hit the floor with a clatter; it landed with a heavy THUD. The lightbulb above flickered violently, flashing on and off as you watched your new toy turn from something cute and lovable into something monstrous and huge. The plastic of the toy morphed into soft, pliant flesh, swaying and jiggling lewdly as it grew into its proper shape. Fat, pink nipples burst into view on her chest, followed swiftly by her crotch tearing open to leave a drooling, oozing pussy behind. Then, the lights flicked off one last time, leaving a pair of scarlet-red eyes staring at you for a long while.

And then, the lights flicked back on.

Where the toy had been a second ago, a towering monstrosity now stood, her head brushing the ceiling joists. She was twelve feet of curvaceous horror, an anthropomorphic version of the simple toy. Her breasts were enormous, each one a soft, brown-furred beach ball that dwarfed her head. Her hips were ridiculously wide, supported by thick, powerful thighs that led to an ass so massive and round it practically demanded its own zip code. A fluffy brown tail twitched just above it.

Her head was more animalistic, almost cute in a way, but the jaw did away with that thought. The smile the toy previously wore was now permanently warped with sharp, jagged teeth glinting in the dim light. Where the friendly blue eyes had been, there were only two voids, each containing a glowing red pinpoint of light that fixed on you. The missing piece of her right ear was now a ragged, torn notch. Her voice, when it came, was no longer a tinny recording from a speaker. It was a deep, resonant, and terrifyingly seductive sound that seemed to come from all around you.

"Mama knows you were a very naughty boy... sneaking down here all alone." She took a slow, deliberate step forward, the floorboards groaning under her immense weight. The glowing red dots of her eyes narrowed. "Naughty boys should be punished."
