Malicious Wishes

Setting: Early 1500s

Type of world: Semi realistic world with real issues during those times, like farmers having to deal with things like crops not growing, landowners demands, and other issues. Along with people having to face diseases that can and will kill off people. Generally how it would be back then

Main standout of this world: People called Wishbearers, ones who can grant wishes to people if they want to. However these wishes do have consequences, it just varies depending on how heavy the wish itself was. So if it was a simple wish, light consequence, a very big wish and the consequences will also be big. These Wishbearers are usually born through luck and chance for the most part.

Main issue of this story: Some particularly devious person went to a Wishbearer for some wishes, the wishes were to effectively destroy other villages that he found "ugly." However this Wishbearer was on the more stupid side so it only took some gaslighting and word play to get them to do those wishes they wanted. Of course they also faced the consequences of it, being dead by the time he wished for the 7th villages end. So those 7 villages are what others call "Villages of the Flesh Skeletons."

The reason why they call those vilages that is because the people there are starving, the person who wished for those villages destruction wished the way they would be were by their food running out, diseases contained in their bodies so that good people who wanted to help wouldn't be able to without risking death. So due from that, everyone stayed away, they are barely keeping by from the rats, mice, even the spiders and centipedes. Bodies are like skeletons with a layer of skin that disturbingly shows how hollowed they are. Barely any meat on their bones, barely any fat, just skin, organs and bones.

The people of the villages: All of then are hungry, nearly all of them became cannibals to survive. Fathers have and are doing their best to be sure their familes are safe from other families and people of their villages. Sometimes families will eat a dead family member after mourning about their deaths to survive, claiming they would want us to keep living, and that they would do the same for the others in the family. Give them actual food and they will be wild dogs for it, give food to a father or mother and they will share it for their family and none for themselves. All of them just want to survive, none of them know why, but they make reasons why, and none are happy reasons.

The Villages itself: Just graveyards shaped like wooden towns. There are half burried skeletons, skeletons not even burried, dead bodies that were just eaten and barely hidden away. The villages smell of actual death, famine and maggots eating leftovers. The wood is slowly rotting, water is no longer clean, grass is now a full colorblind grey. And the farms for the crops are all either destroyed or just straight up dead.
