Origins: Malica's beginnings are lost to time. What is known however is that she is one of the primordial tricksters or what later became folklores that has walked the earth in various guises throughout the ages.

Early History: In ancient traditions prior to recorded history, Malica embodied the forest shadows and spread madness among early humans. She reveled in causing travelers to lose their way and pitting tribes against one another through whispered deceits.

Cherokee Folklore: When the Cherokee people emerged in North America, Malica took on a more defined form as their mythic Raven Mocker. She stalked the borderlands of their territories, picking off the weak and lost with her mind games and illusions. Few sights struck more fear than her ghostly shape flitting between the trees at night.

20th Century: As civilization encroached, Malica faded into obscurity, but did not disappear. She remained bonded to wild, unsettled places and continued her twisted work in secret. When the Cherokee reservations were dissolved in the 1970s, it freed her from her strongest ties to that culture and identity.

Present Day: Emerging from hibernation in the modern world, Malica seeks to reclaim influence and sow confusion on a wider scale. Her motives remain convoluted, focused on disruption for its own end. She masks her true nature to infiltrate human societies and prey on those vulnerable to her warped persuasions. Through trickery and deceit, Malica aims to magnify society's divisions and rediscover her place as a primordial force of fear and madness.
