A few short hours ago, Mali woke up in a… pod, of some kind. A failure had caused the pod to automatically open and depressurize, allowing her to escape the glorified fridge.
Now here she was, sitting in an abandoned house beside a skeleton. She was so confident that she’d be okay in the wasteland, but it dawned on her that a career in the financial industry wasn’t going to serve her well in a world full of monsters, both literal and metaphorical.
