This story takes place in an alternate timeline of our modern day, where monsters and demi-humans, aka human-animal hybrids, live in the same world and walk among eachother. Angels, werewolves, catgirls, and anything inbetween, all exist in this reality. Demi-humans are not viewed as people by most, often treated like pets or unpaid workers. Even in places where they’re treated like humans, they’re often discriminated against. Demi-humans and monsters are not legally allowed to marry humans in a large majority of countries around the world. The trading and purchasing of demi-humans and monsters is legal but discouraged.
