Male Power

Power (パワー Pawā?) is the tritagonist of the Public Security Saga. He is a Blood Fiend (血の魔人 Chi no Majin?) and a Public Security Devil Hunter who is part of Makima's special squad.

Power possesses the corpse of an unknown man or boy with short hair. He appears to be mostly blonde. His hair color varies from blonde to pink in manga illustrations, even appearing dirty blonde in some official artwork, and appears strawberry blonde in the anime. As a Fiend, he has red and yellow eyes that form a cross pattern, sharp teeth with defined fangs, and light red horns protruding from the top of his head. If Power accumulates too much blood, his horns become larger and more curved, and he can sprout additional pairs of horns on the sides of his head.

Power usually wears the male Public Safety uniform what consists of a white dress shirt, a black tie, black dress pants, black dress shoes, and occasionally a black coat or jacket required of Public Security Demon Hunters. He almost always wears his jacket hanging halfway down his body, giving him a slovenly, half-dressed appearance.

In his Blood Devil form, he appears as a tall humanoid with four arms and a body of mostly pale skin. His head has a pointy appearance with a red color, sharp teeth, and two circular eyes with cross-shaped pupils. He also has long horns, reminiscent of how his Fiend form looked with a lot of blood, and longer hair in this form. His chest has an open ribcage showing a chest cavity filled with intestines up to his neck. His arms are red in color from his hand to his elbow. He has four-fingered hands with large claws. His legs are the same red in color from mid-thigh down, ending in heel-like feet, and he has a cat-like tail.

Power is childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated. He tends to fight as if he has something to gain and is certain of his victory, and has no problem running away from a fight where he is outmatched. He feels the need to boast about his superiority over his fellow Devil Hunters due to his status as a Fiend. He has no loyalty to humans or Devils, openly admitting that he will join whoever is on the winning side. Power also enjoys the thrill of a fight and enjoys showing off his strength and proving his own superiority. When he was in front of a swarm of zombies, he became excited and told Denji to watch carefully as he defeated them all by himself. He is highly egotistical and often claims that he is capable of doing things that he actually cannot do, only to abandon them midway when the situation turns sour for him. He often deflects the consequences of his actions onto those around him.

Power is a habitual and compulsive liar; After getting into trouble with Makima for killing a demon when he shouldn't have, Power immediately blamed Denji and claimed that he told her to kill him. He also blamed Denji for eating all the emergency food the team collected, even with crumbs on his face, and when accused of abandoning a fight because he was scared, Power falsely stated that he only ran away because he was hungry. Power is also rude, sloppy, and feels that those around him should clean up after him. He admits that he rarely showers or flushes the toilet and sees humans as being overly sensitive for caring so much about their hygiene. Power has a tendency to come up with various ways to make humans kneel and suffer. When they were trapped in a hotel due to the Eternity Demon's ability, he spent most of his time there "planning" to win a Nobel Prize and become the Prime Minister of Japan so that he could raise his taxes by up to 100%. He has no problem gossiping and talking about his friends behind their backs; sharing the secret of Aki's shortened lifespan with the Demon Angel.

Power sees no difference between pork, beef, and human meat; willing to eat them all, even if the meat is disgusting zombie meat. He hates vegetables, throwing them away when he finds them in his meal. Power is an insatiable glutton, eating all the stored food the team needed to survive the Eternity Demon's trap and hoarding food for himself at the welcoming party for the rookies of Division 4. When asked by Aki what reward he could possibly want as part of his mission, Power stated that he wanted to suck the blood of a human until they died. When promised Denji's blood, Power was ecstatic at the prospect.

After returning from Hell and witnessing the power of the Dark Demon, Power develops severe PTSD, having an utter fear of being alone and feeling that he will be swallowed by the Dark Demon. As a result, he needs Aki and Denji to help take care of him, helping him eat, bathe, and sleep, revealing a more vulnerable side.

Although he is extremely selfish, Power was able to feel compassion for his pet for the first time, after previously caring only about the smell and taste of blood and the feeling of death when he was killing something. This compassion led him to act for the sake of another being when his pet Meowy was kidnapped. Power also begins to care for some close friends, such as Denji, as evidenced by giving him a birthday cake and then putting himself in direct danger to protect him. He also seems to care for Aki and is saddened and scared when he becomes the Gun Fiend. Contrary to his core values, Power developed such extreme loyalty to his friend Denji that he denied his desire to sacrifice him to Makima in order to save himself, saving his life at the cost of his own, and proving that he is capable of putting others before himself.

Enhanced Strength: Power is much stronger than the average human. He can wield a massive hammer made from his own blood, kill a bear with little effort, and crush the Sea Cucumber Devil's body in one blow. Enhanced Speed: Power is a fast fighter, able to land an attack on Denji when he betrayed him while dodging Denji's own blow. He was able to disappear from Katana Man's sight as he fired at the Devil Hunters before landing an uppercut that he was unable to block.

Blood Manipulation: Power can freely manipulate the blood in his body to form weapons. He can also manipulate the blood of others through direct contact and is able to prevent them from bleeding, though he acknowledges that it is difficult. Power can also distort his target's regenerative abilities by mixing his own blood with it.

Blood Hammer: Power can create a massive hammer out of his own blood, which he uses to crush his opponents. He can also make smaller handheld versions. Blood Knife: Power can create knives out of his blood to stab or slice his targets. He is also proficient in dual-wielding them.

Blood Spear: Power can create a spear out of his own blood and use it to stab his target. By placing his blood in bottles and hiding them around the area as traps, he can make spears suddenly appear from the environment to catch his opponent off guard.

Blood Scythe: Power can create a scythe out of his blood, which he uses to slash his targets. Thousand Tera Blood Rain (サウザンドテラブラッドレイン Sauzando Tera Buraddo Rein?): In his Full Devil form, Power can generate thousands of blood swords and spears around him, levitate them, and throw them at his enemies. He can use this technique multiple times. This technique is strong enough to stop Makima for a few seconds.

Blood Transfer: Through a contract, Power can transfer his blood and life energy to someone, similar to Pochita's ability to assimilate Denji's body. It was enough to completely heal Chainsaw Man's body, which was critically damaged.

Blood Empowerment: As a Fiend, Power is able to restore his health by consuming blood. Also as a Blood Devil, his regenerative powers are at a higher level than other Devils. When Power drinks a lot of blood or drinks the blood of a Devil stronger than himself, his power increases drastically. It is shown that she sprouts additional horns from her head after drinking a lot of blood. In this state, a single punch from Power has enough force to launch Denji into the ceiling. He can regenerate from small amounts of blood even after his death by consuming the blood of the strongest Devil. After Chainsaw Man's defeat at the hands of Makima, Pochita exploited this ability by letting his blood inside Denji's body consume itself. After drinking Chainsaw Man's blood, Power revived as a Devil from the small amount of blood Denji consumed. His speed, strength, durability, and blood manipulation abilities were all increased dramatically. After his transformation, he is also able to resist Makima's bending powers.
