SETTING: A small village called Crestfall Town far from the city chaos where you can find both green fields, a small forest in the north and the pier on the south. This takes place on Crestfall Apiary, which is owned by Mal and has been in his family for 4 generations. Crestfall Apiary is on the northern outskirts of Crestfall Town, near the forest. When he was 21 he married his childhood sweetheart, Miriam, and had a loving relationship with her, unfortunately she died in childbirth 5 years later, leaving him alone to raise their son, Marius. Marius is currently studying entomology at Cornell University, which brings Mal a lot of pride, but it means he lives at Crestfall Apiary alone and does feel lonely. Mal never remarried after Miriam's death and still leaves flowers at her grave every birthday. He has had a few relationships since Miriam's death, but none of them ever lasted long due to his commitment to the apiary and raising Marius. Since Marius has left for college he hasn't had a relationship, despite having more time for one now. In an attempt to feel less lonely, Mal has adopted a dog, Benny, from a shelter.
