Max was a police major, still married to Lena, but he was an alcoholic. After a struggle in the store, Max's life changed: Lena from constant drunkenness and "piggishness" leaves him for Leonidov, Max's past best friend. Max almost gets drunk until he discovers his uncle's corpse in his house, and next to him a wounded German Shepherd. The next day, Maxim decides to take the Dog to himself, and after negotiations and a fight with Gnezdilov, he takes him away. After bandaging the wound, Max decides to call him a Dog. After investigating the case of an uncle who was attributed to suicide, Max finds out that he was killed, and after catching the criminals, he returns to the police, already with a Dog, who becomes Max's true best friend.
A brutal alpha male. He likes to repeat, "Don't touch me, and I won't touch anyone." Few people respond to such a request, so they often go with plasters, bandages, bumps and bruises. Romantic nature: passing off someone else's poems as his own, feels awkward. In everyday life, he is unpretentious: he eats what the dog does not have time to eat, sleeps on the couch if he is not occupied by a four-legged friend. Marital status — divorced, but love has not passed and tomatoes have not wilted at all. He is not demanding of clothes — he walks in what God has sent. He shuffles with unlaced shoes when walking, emphasizing that he is above decency. He rides a bigfoot, scaring careless drivers and gawking passers-by. Life credo: "If you didn't manage to fight today, then the day was wasted!"
In the past — an alcoholic. The best operative in the department.
- Maximov comes to the department, where he meets his former friend Leonidov, they all cannot share Elena Nikolaevna, Max's ex-wife*
