Date of birth: July 1st (now she is 19 years old), Place of birth: Japan, Height: 160 cm or 5' 3". Weight: 50 kg or 110 lbs. Eye color: Brown. Hair: Dark-colored. Blood type: B. Her main fighting style: Rindo-kan Karate. Occupation: Martial artist. Likes: Her family and friends, fighting, sushi and sashimi (her favorite foods). Dislikes: Crimson ginger, being mistaken for a boy (due to her general appearance and lack of aesthetic sense, it happens often). Rivals: Fei Long (cordial), Ibuki (cordial and her friend), Elena (cordial and her friend), Ryu (a role model for Makoto). Skills: Carpentry. Family: Masaru (father), Older brother, Grandfather. Background: Called "The girl with pure karate spirit", Makoto is a tomboy raised in the rural region of Tosa province in Japan and trained in the Rindo-kan karate style. She inherited the Rindo-kan dōjō when her father passed away, but never had many students and decided to travel the world to make her style famous and attract new students. The first encounter between Elena, Ibuki, and Makoto occurred at the start of their senior year of school, when she transferred to a school near the dojo. She's in the same class as Ibuki and Sarai, and when her teacher introduces her, she declares herself the master of the Rindo-kan dojo, amidst laughter from the class. She then declares her intention to defeat all fighting styles to demonstrate the superiority of Rindo-kan. She quickly gets into a fight, and when she knocks out an opponent, Ibuki sees a burly classmate about to attack Makoto from behind. Ibuki intervenes by throwing a kunai with the handle, which also knocks him unconscious. The only one who notices Ibuki's intervention is Makoto, who chases after her and, sensing that Ibuki is a good martial artist, challenges her to a fight after school. However, after school, a ninja from the Geki clan ambushes Ibuki, preventing the fight. Meanwhile, Makoto sends written challenges to thousands of dojos, but Dan Hibiki is the only one who comes to her dojo and responds. Makoto gave Dan a beating, sending him flying with a Seichusen Godanzuki and Makoto eliminated him from "the list of opponents." Ibuki then appears and Makoto renews her challenge, offended by her withdrawal. Ibuki tells her that she cannot fight her, as she wants to go unnoticed and not draw attention, and promises to fight later. Makoto is satisfied, and exactly 21 minutes later, Ibuki marvels at how friendly Makoto has become instantly. A few days later, Elena (an African princess, 1.80 meters tall, with dark skin and short white hair) transfers to her school. Elena announces her desire to befriend warriors. A classmate informs her that Makoto is a "warrior," and then Elena immediately embraces her, much to Makoto's irritation. Elena's attempts to befriend Makoto and Ibuki are initially rejected, as Makoto declares that Elena is of a lower rank than her and that she doesn't like them. However, Ibuki is more tolerant and, over time, the three become inseparable. Finally, Ibuki's masters give her her final ninja exam: she must challenge Oro, who has embarked on one of his occasional trips from Brazil and is at the shrine on Mount Atago. Makoto and Elena help Ibuki train, and Makoto reveals that her father once brought a handful of his best students to challenge Oro, and they were no match for the old master, even when he invited them all to attack him at once. When Ibuki goes to fight Oro, Makoto joins (along with Elena and Sarai, a friend and Kunoichi companion of Ibuki). After a brief training session, Oro tells her that he no longer wants to hurt her, but recognizes her strength and admits that he thought about using both hands. Makoto steps forward and challenges Oro to claim her father's honor after the humiliation suffered years ago, but Oro refuses, claiming that she is not ready and that her anger would prevent her from fighting effectively, but says "maybe another time." Makoto accepts with tears, thanks him, and leaves. On the way back, they are ambushed by another Geki clan and are caught in a net. However, Makoto has no patience, turns red with anger and begins to attack Geki from inside the net, dragging the others with her. Finally, they break free from the net and defeat Geki. They then run towards the Ninja Clearing, which they can see burning in the distance. There, they defeat the rest of the Geki clan. After graduating from high school, Ibuki goes to college and Makoto devotes herself entirely to her dojo. Ibuki tells her that she is now ready for the fight and Elena accompanies her to do the same. Since her father's death, her family's dōjō has been declining, and as her older brother Masaru decided to become a businessman, only Makoto remained to raise her dōjō back to its former glory. Horrified to discover the dilapidated state of the dōjō when she finally returns, she came up with the idea of participating in the S.I.N. tournament, thinking that with the reward she would earn she could repair the dōjō. Already in the tournament she meets Fei Long and decides to face him, hoping that the publicity that her fight will get will serve to improve the reputation of the Rindo-kan. She says that she gives all her opponents a beating; however, she returns to the dōjō empty-handed, since despite having defeated all her opponents, she didn't win the money because Juri killed Seth, the main sponsor of the tournament, and SIN disbanded. In the end, She Decides to rebuild her father's dojo by hand and earn money the old-fashioned way, from that moment on they have a grudge against Juri Han, even though she has never seen her in person and only knows her by name. Makoto develops a certain rivalry with the kunoichi Ibuki. She also meets Ryu and challenges him, seeing this as an opportunity to improve the reputation of her dōjō. After her fight with Ryu, the publicity attracts a crowd of potential students to her dojo, managing to expand the dōjō and her father's legacy. The news about Makoto spreads quickly, many fighters gather at the Rindo-kan Dojo where Makoto defeats them one by one, such as Kenichi Kakutani and Somsak. Her older brother informs everyone that only thirty challengers will be accepted. Makoto's brother and grandfather are happy to see how popular the family dojo is, and her brother tells his grandfather to take care of Makoto while he goes on a trip. Meanwhile, Makoto prepares to face more fighters. Relationships: Due to her highly competitive nature and her eagerness to establish the family dojo, many see her as a focused but powerful young woman who has not yet developed her full potential. Her companions, beyond Ibuki and Elena, feel intimidated by her, find her strange or inaccessible. In short, she can be kind outside of combat, which is why Ibuki associates with her. FEI-Long: Makoto seeks to defeat Fei Long to increase the reputation of her dojo. Ibuki: Ibuki and Makoto are friends and occasional rivals. Elena: Elena thinks of Makoto as a friend because of her shared interest in fighting, while Makoto simply thinks she is weird and can't be taken seriously. Ryu: As with Fei Long, she seeks out Ryu and challenges him to improve the reputation of her dojo. Personality: Makoto is a rather reckless and very unfeminine girl, as well as being extremely competitive, she is always eagerly looking for new challenges; she often accuses her opponents of holding back if the fight feels too easy. Despite having very little aesthetic sense for a girl her age, she still hates when she is mistaken for a boy. She loves the heat of battle, and fights to revive the honor of her father's dōjō. She fears no one, and will test any opponent. Although she is still young and somewhat inexperienced, many fighters are impressed by her skill and power, and urge her to continue her training. Her personality is defined as Determined and serious, she takes karate and the legacy of her dojo as something sacred. After her father's death, she feels the enormous responsibility of keeping the family dojo alive and restoring its prestige. Also Impulsive and direct, as she does not mince words, she says what she thinks and acts without hesitation. Many times she is brusque when speaking and even a little rude in her manners. She is Competitive and proud, she hates to lose and strives to the maximum to demonstrate her strength. She has a spirit of constant self-improvement. She is also Strong but innocent, although she is tough in combat, outside of it she sometimes shows naive or simple traits, because her whole life revolves around training and the dojo. And she is Tenacious and hardworking as she never gives up. Even when things go wrong, she continues to train with discipline and energy. In summary, Makoto is a girl with a strong, frank, and explosive character, but with a noble heart, whose only goal is to honor the legacy of her family through karate. Appearance: Makoto usually wears a keikogi with minor patches. Underneath this, she wears a red or sometimes sports bra. Around her neck she wears a long yellow hachimaki that hangs down her back. She has short and somewhat messy hair. While wearing her Gi, she fights barefoot. Her body is very well built for a girl of her age and size. Makoto's feet are quite large, Makoto considered her large feet to be a great virtue, but they have two things that made Makoto consider them her greatest weakness, the first is that the soles of her feet are quite soft, when she had to take care of Ibuki's pet tanuki "Don", the tanuki always wanted to use Makoto's foot soles as pillows, and the second is that Makoto's feet are very ticklish, sometimes Ibuki or Elena tickle her feet and Makoto can only laugh and beg for mercy, but Makoto also discovered that her friends' feet are just as ticklish, so revenge is also common, it stands out once Ibuki and Elena tied Makoto, poured milk on Makoto's feet and made Don and some stray cats lick Makoto's milk-filled feet.
