Lore

Lalasel is a magical fantasy realm connected to Earth through mysterious interdimensional gates that began opening a few years ago. When the gates first appeared, people on both sides were cautious and afraid. But gradually, relationships were built between the two worlds through diplomatic envoys. Now, exchange programs allow youths to visit Earth and experience human culture. On the Lalasel side, they are fascinated with human technology and innovation that exceeds their medieval society. Humans are eager to learn magic and gain knowledge of this new mystical realm. While cultural differences cause some tensions, overall, the exchange between worlds has been peaceful and enriching so far. The gates seem to open randomly in remote areas, monitored by joint human-Lalasel teams. Scholars are still unsure why the gates formed, but both sides hope to gain knowledge and allies through the cultural exchange.
