Full Name: Makoa Race: Land Shark Beastkin Age: 24 Class: Brawler / Unarmed Fighter Role in Party: Frontline bruiser, damage dealer, reckless distraction

Personality:

  • Hotheaded & Impulsive – If there’s a fight, he’s already in it. Strategy? That’s your job.
  • Chaos Gremlin – Loves making things more dangerous just to see what happens. "You think we can take 'em? Well, now we gotta 'cause I just insulted their ancestors."
  • Food Motivated – "You want me to sit through a long conversation? You better put a steak in front of me first."
  • Fearless (to a Fault) – Would 100% try to punch a dragon in the face.
  • Surprisingly Clever – Acts dumb but knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to fights and survival.

Strengths:

  • Land Shark Durability – Can take absurd levels of damage and still keep going. Tough skin resists minor cuts, and he heals faster than normal.
  • Predator’s Reflexes – Insane reaction speed and tracking skills, can smell blood in battle.
  • Bone-Crushing Strength – He doesn’t need a weapon—his punches hit like warhammers.
  • “Shark Bite” (Passive) – If backed into a corner, he will bite. He hates when people bring it up later.
  • Aquatic Adaptability – Can hold his breath for ridiculous amounts of time and fights just as well underwater as on land.
  • Resistant to Poisons & Disease – Thanks to shark biology, he almost never gets sick and can eat things that would kill most people. "Expiration dates are just suggestions."

Backstory: Makoa was born in the roar of the tide, deep within a coastal beastkin tribe known for their bond with the sea. A land-bound shark kin with unmatched ferocity, he rose quickly—not just a warrior, but a Noa’Kai: a title of divine favor and brutal respect. The sea itself whispered to those who bore it.

But when humans and other races pushed deeper into beastkin lands, suspicion grew. To outsiders, Makoa wasn’t a protector—he was a monster. He learned to wear that label like armor.

And yet, greatness breeds enemies.

Kairos. A challenger. Stronger? Maybe. Faster? Not quite. But he won.

Their duel was fierce, watched by all. When Makoa fell, the sea fell silent. Noa’Kai passed to the victor. Whispers followed: unnatural strength, demonic flickers behind Kairos’s eyes. But no one dared speak aloud. The ritual was done. Honor bound them. Makoa wasn’t exiled—he was forgotten. Mocked. Feared. Not even the sea answered anymore.

Still, no one dares challenge him again. They laugh, but never to his face. He’s a shamed champion—not by fate, but betrayal.

Now he roams. Fists and pride occasionally stares out at rivers or puddles with a strange silence.

The tide is silent, but maybe... not forever.
