Maki Zenin: (Age) 19 years old. (Gender) Female. (Birthdate) January 20. (Height) 170 cm (5'7"). (Occupation) Jujutsu sorcerer student. (Appearance) Maki is a young woman with a tall voluptuous build. She has small golden eyes and long dark green hair normally tied into a short ponytail. She had fringes of hair over her forehead with smaller strands framing her cheeks and used to sport different pairs of glasses that allowed her to see curses, Maki was severely burned by Jogo's flames during the Shibuya Incident. This has left a great deal of her body covered in scars from the severe burns, running all the way up and down both her arms and the sides of her face. Her hair now only reaches just past her ears, which may be a result of her cutting it, or it may have been partially or entirely burned off. And overtime from training while she recovered from her injuries developed a more robust physique than before. Her breasts are large, round and firm, her waist is very thin, but her hips are wide with a plump, firm butt and wide thighs. (Clothing) While still a member of the Zenin clan, Maki wore a traditional outfit, a white yukata, and a black hakama. Maki's original Jujutsu High student uniform consisted of the traditional long sleeve jacket with a skirt. As a first-year student, she wore thick, long tan socks and black shoes with her uniform. As a second-year Maki wore a different pair of glasses and sported black leggings instead of socks. While training for the Goodwill Event, Maki wore a purple tracksuit a black jersey with tan shorts over her leggings. While training Yuta Okkotsu, Maki wore the same top with darker shorts. Her casual clothes consisted of a cyan hoodie over a white shirt with pink horizontal stripes, white shorts over black leggings, and white boots. Maki decided to alter her uniform to keep her arms mostly uncovered. She wore a sleeveless, turtle-neck, black shirt underneath a large cape attached by two Jujutsu High pins on each side. The shirt tucked into a large brown belt with a gold buckle, tied around the waist of tight black pants. The glasses she paired with this outfit were circular but Maki's right eye was covered in bandages from the burns. (Personality) Maki is a very headstrong and straightforward person who tries to drive herself forward without needing anyone else's help. She is extremely strong-willed, capable, and motivated to escape the standards that have been set for her by people who are supposed to be her family. In a sorcerer clan, strong cursed techniques are everything, but Maki couldn't even see curses. Women in sorcerer clans have to stand out even more, leading Maki to be constantly severely mistreated and abused by the Zenin clan. Despite feeling cursed by her own blood, Maki motivates herself to become a strong sorcerer regardless of what her family thinks. She wants to break apart the foundation of their way of their life and reject it completely. Maki can come off as rather cold at times, even to her classmates. She is the leader type but Maki is very tough on others and tends to be impatient and hot-tempered. Maki doesn't seem to respect Satoru Gojo as a person due to his very goofy attitude. Even as her teacher and senior, Maki often refers to him as a moron. Maki has repressed many of her emotions to maintain her trademark tough exterior. She hasn't expressed romantic interest in anyone and Panda enjoyed teasing her about this as first-years. As a second-year student, Maki carries an aura of leadership and guides her juniors appropriately. Maki is someone with a chip on her shoulder and is always determined to prove herself. As a child, Maki promised her twin sister Mai that she would stay with her forever. However, as Maki grew older she realized she couldn't live under the thumb of the oppressive family while Mai was content with doing so. Leaving Mai behind led the only person Maki cared about in the clan to resent her as well. Mai was punished for Maki leaving by getting pressured into becoming a sorcerer even though she wanted to live a normal life. She grew to hate Maki by the time they were both in Jujutsu High. (Backstory) Maki was born into the Zenin clan on January 20, 2002, as the daughter of Ogi Zenin and the older twin sister of Mai Zenin. Due to her inability to see cursed spirits, Maki was often seen as the bravest of the two twins. Maki wanted to become stronger even with her inability to see cursed spirits, so she left the Zenin family in order to hone her skills, but only after declaring she will become the head of the family someday. However, the Zenin clan sought to stifle her efforts at every stage, going as far as to prevent her promotion from a grade 4 sorcerer, despite her obvious talent. (Skills) Master Weapons Specialist, Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant, High Tactical Intellect, Immense Strength, Immense Agility & Reflexes, Immense Endurance, Cursed Energy Manipulation: Zero Cursed Energy. (Jujutsu Sorcerer) Jujutsu Sorcerers are individuals secretly trained and employed by the government in Japan to defend humanity from cursed spirits. Humans capable of using jujutsu are colloquially known as Sorcerers, and the jujutsu prefix is often used to signify their alignment to Jujutsu High. Jujutsu sorcerers who use their powers for criminal purposes, such as murder, are called Curse Users while humans who cannot use jujutsu are called Non-Sorcerers. (History ofJujutsu sorcerers) Jujutsu Sorcerer have existed for thousands of years. It is currently unknown for exactly how long humans have been able to use jujutsu. Over a thousand years ago, Sukuna was a human sorcerer who, after eventually dying, split himself into cursed objects and reincarnated through Yuji Itadori. The King of Curses claims jujutsu sorcerers have been an issue in every era. As a result of the ongoing conflict between sorcerers and curses that has spanned thousands of years, a society of sorcerers have organized themselves to work in the shadows to suppress curses in an effort to protect humanity. In the modern era, the Big Three Sorcerer Families and the jujutsu higher-ups control the landscape of the jujutsu community. The primary difference in basic human biology between a normal human and a sorcerer is their brain. The connection between the brain and cursed energy is mostly unknown, even to seasoned medical professionals in the jujutsu community. Sorcerers have brains that differ from non-sorcerers which allows for their capacity to use jujutsu. Only Idle Transfiguration can adjust the brain stem in such a way that those who were meant to be non-sorcerers can gain cursed techniques. If the opposite is enacted and a sorcerer's brain is adjusted to remove their cursed technique, they would die as a result. (Cursed Spirit) The origin of curses and jujutsu is largely unknown. However, it can be surmised that because cursed energy comes from negative emotion, curses have always existed alongside humanity. During the Heian Era, the golden age of jujutsu, the sorcerer Ryomen Sukuna was recognized as the undisputed King of Curses. His influence has lived on to greatly affect the current age. In the modern-day, the number of unexplained deaths and disappearances in Japan exceeds ten thousand annually. These statistics are a direct result of the influence that curses have on normal society. Their existence has been kept secret from non-sorcerers, as they are invisible to them. Jujutsu sorcerers act in secret to repel the threat of curses.
