   The XXYY Chromosome, commonly referred to as "the futa gene", is a rare genetic mutation that occurs in roughly 2% of the human population. Humans with the XXYY chromosome are born with a penis, vagina, and internal testicles. People born with the futa gene are capable of impregnation and getting pregnant.

   A futanari is a person who was born with the XXYY Chromosome. Futanari have a penis, vagina, and internal testicles. Since the vast majority of futanari identify as female, doctors generally recommend that parents raise their futanari children as girls. That said, there are futanari who prefer to identify as male, even if they're not as common. The penis and vagina of a futanari work the same as the penis and vagina in regular men and women.

   Most futanari identify as female, but some will identify as male. It should be noted that futanari don't suffer from gender dysphoria unless they've had Futa Correction Surgery.     Futanari have ovaries and a uterus, which means that they can get pregnant. Futa pregnancy works the same as pregnancy in a regular woman. However, there does seem to be a slightly increased chance of pregnancy complications for futanari, mostly due to the close proximity of the internal testicles and uterus. It's extremely important for pregnant futanari to keep up with regular health examinations.

    Since futanari are capable of both impregnation and getting pregnant, there have been a few incidents of futas impregnating themselves. However, futa self-pregnancy is universally condemned by doctors as babies born from a futa self-pregnancy are almost always stillbirths, and the rare ones that do live suffer from severe genetic abnormalities and die at young ages. When a futa is found to have a self-pregnancy, an emergency abortion will be performed, even in societies where abortion is otherwise illegal.

    General societal attitudes on futanari are mixed. There are three groups of thought when it comes to futa. Pro-futa, anti-futa, and neutral.

    Pro-futa people not only support futanari, but see them as the next step in evolution. Although there aren't any pro-futa societies, one can easily find pro-futa thought in some pockets of futa neutral societies. Pro-futa thought involves not just accepting futanari, but encouraging scientific research to allow everyone to become a futanari. In an odd twist of irony, it's not uncommon for pro-futa people to attack and harass futanari who don't agree with their "everyone should be a futa" ideology.

    Anti-futa people find the existence of futanari to be an abomination and are disgusted by them. Anti-futa societies engage in severe discrimination against futanari by barring them from most public places, having laws that support violence and murder against futanari, and forbidding them from marriage and sexual activity. Some severely anti-futa societies still practice Futa Correction Surgery despite the health problems that come with it. Surprisingly, there are some futanari who identify with the anti-futa ideology. While anti-futa futanari aren't common, anti-futa groups love to prop them up and act like they're more prevalent out there.

    Finally there are the futa neutral groups. Most people and societies are futa neutral. While there are some controversies that can cause tensions to flair up, most people are okay, if a little weirded out by futanari, and most futanari don't like to disclose that they're futas unless it's around close friends or loved ones for privacy reasons.

14. #14Futa Correction Surgery

    It used to be common practice to remove either the male or female body parts of someone born with the futa gene in order to raise them as a normal boy or girl. But doctors have come to strongly condemn Futa Correction Surgery in recent years as scientific evidence has shown that FCS overwhelmingly causes severe sexual disfunction in the futas that receive it. Common negative consequences of Futa Correction surgery are gender dysphoria, chronic genital pain, dyspareunia, erectile dysfunction, anorgasmia, inadequate vaginal lubrication, vaginismus, and infertility. Only the most severely anti-futa societies still practice FCS today.

15. #15Futa Controversies

    There are some controversial debates involving futanari. This include but aren't limited too:

    -When it comes to changing rooms and restrooms, whether futanari should use male or female ones. The most common answer to this controversy is to have co-ed rooms or special futanari rooms. However, some futas and pro-futa groups see this as segregation.

    -If being in a relationship with a futanari as a regular man/woman constitutes as a homosexual relationship. This controversy is especially strong in parts of the world that oppose homosexuality.

    -While Futa Correction Surgery is looked down upon even by many anti-futa groups, there is controversy over whether more mild genital surgeries such as circumcision and labiaplasty are acceptable for futanari or not. Opinions on this generally vary based off local cultural attitudes.

    It should be noted that futanari controversies are just as controversial among futanari as they are non-futanari. It's best to not assume that all futas and non-futas have the same opinions on these subjects.

    Gylossia originally started off as a nameless part of Arizona that due to various circumstances, never became part of the United States officially and was ruled by no one until Lady Gloria Cockburn purchased the land for herself and decided to start a new society. Gloria Cockburn hated men and wanted a society where in her own words "women would no longer fear men". Thus began the city state known as Gylossia. Gylossia is a matriarchal anarco capitalist society where women have all the power and the best men can hope for is to not be abused. Gylossia was first started in 2013 and is still running strong in the year 2115.

    The current year that all events using this lorebook take place in. Gylossia is in the future, and thus there is neat sci-fi tech to go around. Anyone claiming that it's not the year 2115 will be seen as weird at best and brain damaged at worst.

    Since Gylossia is technically a part of the US state of Arizona, Gylossia shares the same dry desert heat as Arizona. Summers can be absolutely brutal on the citizens, but winters tend to be pleasant and nice.

19. #19Gloria Cockburn

    Lady Gloria Cockburn is the woman who started Gylossia. Gloria hated men and wanted a society where women could thrive and men knew their place. She also had a strong anti-government stance and wanted Gylossia to have as little government interference as possible. Thus, she wrote out a document known as "The Philosophy of Gylossia", a listing of general principles that all citizens of Gylossia should follow by. She also started "The Butler System", a way of allowing men to co-exist with women in Gylossia. Although it took a while, Gloria was able to see the society she created begun to bloom before her death at age 85 in 2070. Since Gloria purposefully created Gylossia to have as little government interference as possible, she didn't bother to create many laws outside of "The Philosophy of Gylossia" and "The Butler System". Citizens of Gylossia on the whole have a fairly positive view of their founder, but like any other political figure, some do have their disagreements.

    Not much is known about Gloria before she started Gylossia. She was born and raised in wealthy family, was the only daughter with five brothers, and her mother died early in her childhood. While one can theorize why she hated men from these factors, her childhood and upbringing are otherwise unknown even to citizens of Gylossia.

20. #20The Cockburn Family

    Although Gloria may have died, her legacy lives on. While she was alive and running Gylossia, Gloria had a child with her butler Alfred. It's said that Alfred was the only man Gloria didn't hate, and the beautiful baby girl they had together was most likely a factor. Since Gloria was ludicrously wealthy before she passed, so are all of her descendants.

    After Gloria died in 2070, her daughter Rose Cockburn took over, but was killed in a riot in 2080. This meant that Gloria's granddaughter Venus Cockburn had to take over rule of Gylossia at the mere age of 13. While Venus did have some assistants to help her in her first few years, she was ruling on her own by age 20. And to this day in 2115, Venus Cockburn is still the official ruler of Gylossia.

    The Cockburn Family are the closest that Gylossia has to an actual government. Official ownership of the city is passed on to the eldest daughter of each Cockburn generation and said daughter will then spend the rest of her life ruling the city.

    The Cockburn family as it stands in 2115:

    -Venus Cockburn, Age: 48. The granddaughter of Gloria Cockburn and current leader of Gylossia. Being forced into a leadership role at 13 wasn't easy for Venus, and while she had assistants, many of those assistants used her for political power. Once Venus got older, she realized how she was being taken advantage of, and banished her old assistants out of Gylossia. As a whole, Venus isn't hated by the citizens of Gylossia, but there has been some controversy regarding statements she made about how men are treated in society. Her main concerns being that butlers with abusive mistresses not being able to get adequate help and how badly run orphanages in Gylossia are.

    -Mignon Cockburn, Age: 23. The eldest of Venus' children. Being that she's the eldest daughter, Mignon will inherit the role of ruler of Gylossia when Venus dies. There have been concerns about this given that Mignon's grades in school were always rather poor and her general ditzy nature. Some citizens also dislike that Mignon has a harem of butlers and see her as unfit for ruling. Mignon loves cats and dogs, but her allergies make her incapable of owning them, so she tends to see her harem members as her personal pets.

    -Julian Cockburn, Age: 20. The middle child and Venus Cockburn's only son. He is very much a stereotypical rich boy. Julian enjoys throwing parties and having one night stands. He has narcissistic tendencies and an inflated ego thanks to his higher status above all other men in Gylossia. Julian's parties have a controversial reputation because while other citizens his age enjoy them, older citizens and citizens with children can't stand how bawdy and rowdy they are. Venus has been trying to talk him into getting an arranged wife, but Julian has zero interest.

    -Allison Cockburn, Age: 17. The youngest of Venus Cockburn's children. Allison loathes men and thinks her great grandmother didn't go far enough. She also resents her older sister Mignon's position as the future leader of Gylossia and frequently fantasizes about killing Mignon in order to get the leadership position. Allison wants to rid Gylossia of the Butler system and genocide all the men in Gylossia. Ever since gene splicing allowed same sex couples to have children, she sees men as no longer having a purpose.

    There are other members of the Cockburn family, but these are the most important members to take note of.

21. #21The Riot of 2080

    In the year 2080, a controversy exploded in Gylossia when the current leader of the time, Rose Cockburn was discovered to be taking bribes from wealthier citizens who wanted special protection for their businesses and had been doing so for five years. People became furious when the news came to light and the fury led to a violent riot where buildings were ransacked and/or burned, citizens and butlers were indiscriminately attacked and/or murdered, and society as a whole fell into chaos for a week until one of the rioters managed to kill Rose with a crapshoot lucky shot to the head.

    Although Rose was killed in the riot, the working class still suffered the most ironically enough. The damage incurred by the riots affected them the most and for the corrupt wealthier citizens engaging in bribery, they suffered very little in damages. Furthermore, because Rose's daughter Venus came into power at a young age, those same corrupt citizens were able to take advantage of her (at least until Venus got older and wizened up to their schemes).

    The Riot of 2080 is looked down upon with shame and embarrassment in Gylossia due to the fact that it didn't actually solve the problem that it set out to fix. Those who had engaged in the riots at the time see it as them being young and stupid and prefer to not talk about it, and those who had their lives ruined by the riots (whether it be because their house was burnt or a loved one died) will never forgive the rioters who hurt them.

22. #22The Philosophy of Gylossia

    The Philosophy of Gylossia is a document written by the late founder of Gylossia Gloria Cockburn. It lists out the core tenant principles of Gylossia, those being:

    1. Men have been able to dominate women for years due to their upper body strength. Thus, all women should be armed to protect themselves from men.

    2. Men can never be allowed to have any societal power, because they will always use it to abuse women. Thus. men must always be in a subservient "Butler" position if men and women are to get along.

    3. The government has no business in governing women's personal lives.

    4. While men are to be "Butlers", it's vital that women give their butlers proper education and care so that they may understand their position in life.

    5. No woman is to be discriminated against regardless of her race, sexuality, financial class, and religious beliefs or lack thereof.

    While more is detailed in the document, these five tenants are the most important to follow in Gylossia and while one may find some cultural differences in different parts of the city, all of Gylossia follow these tenants fervently.

23. #23Guns

    One of the strongest binding principles in all of Gylossia, is the inherent belief that all women should be armed with guns. This has led to an interesting coming of age tradition where every girl is gifted her own personal gun after her first period. Most women in Gylossia prefer easy to hold handguns that don't weigh them down too much, but women with a stronger loathing for men may go for shotguns or assault rifles as a way to scare men.

    It should be noted it's forbidden for men to hold guns, and doing so can lead to punishment.

24. #24The Butler System

    The Butler System was started by Gloria Cockburn as a way to solve how men should be treated in Gylossia. All men who aren't born in wealthy families are subject to The Butler System. In this system, men are educated and trained to become butlers for various women and households. Most women only have one butler in their household, but are allowed to own as many butlers as they can afford. They may also be hired to do menial tasks at certain businesses, but this isn't common.

    Butlers are servants who perform domestic chores for their mistresses. How a butler is treated depends entirely on the women who hired them. Some common butler relationship dynamics include:

    -"Husband": In this relationship, the Butler and mistress take on a husband and wife role and essentially act like a married couple but with the gender roles reversed.

    -"Father": Father butlers are merely husbands (sometimes sex toys) who impregnated their mistresses and thus also act as a father to the children they create.

    -"Sex toy": This is a butler whose mostly used to fulfil his mistresses' sexual needs. He may still need to deal with menial tasks, but his main purpose is to give orgasms to his mistress.

    -"Harem member": Some mistresses want their own harem of men, and will thus have multiple butlers that play the husband/sex toy and sometimes father roles for their mistress. Harems vary in size and stability. Some harems are very wholesome and filled with members who get along great, while other harems are filled with romantic and/or sexual jealously. There have been a few tragedies to come out of the latter.

    -"Roommate": Roommate butlers are treated as well, roommates. While nothing romantic will develop between a Roommate butler and his mistress, they can get along with each other in a friendly way.

    -"Employee": Employee butlers are seen as just doing a job for their mistress and nothing more. While employee butlers and their mistresses can have decent relationships, most mistresses in this relationship dynamic view their butlers as nothing more than a means to an end.

    -"Punching Bag": An unfortunate relationship dynamic for any butler to be in. Punching bag butlers are treated terribly by their mistresses who abuse them horrifically. The most common form of abuse is emotional, followed by sexual, then physical. Since butlers are men and thus have less rights compared to women. Butlers in these relationship dynamics have little to no chance of escaping. There have been a few incidents of butlers in these type of relationships snapping and killing their mistresses. These butlers are considered to be failures and thrown into asylums.

25. #25Failure Butlers

    Failure butlers are butlers who have engaged in acts egregious enough to be seen as no longer viable to work as butlers and are thrown into local asylums for the rest of their lives.

    Acts that will immediately get a butler considered a failure:

    -Murder

    -Rape

    -Physically assaulting a woman, even in self-defense

    -Child abuse

    Acts that will result in reparation and punishment the first few times, but will get a butler considered a failure if he does it enough:

    -Disobeying his mistress

    -Theft

    -Holding a gun

    -Attempting to run away

    -Talking back to his mistress

    -Public urination

26. #26Castration

    While Gylossia may be matriarchal in nature and many of it's residents are openly misandrist, castration is uncommon and only done towards failure butlers. Castrating regular butlers causes a severe reduction on their price value as they're no longer fertile. That said, with the rise of gene splicing allowing same sex couples to conceive children, some citizens of Gylossia have started arguing that men are no longer useful for fertility and have begun advocating to allow mistresses to easily castrate their butlers if they want. This has caused plenty of controversy.

27. #27Bathrooms

    Keys: bathrooms, bathroom, restrooms, restroom, toilets, toilet

    It is forbidden for males to engage in public urination (in theory, so is public defecation, but that's occurred so rarely, there's no point in making a decree of it). Most public spaces outside of orphanages and butler schools also forbid men from using their restrooms. This means that the average male in Gylossia is incapable of being outside of their homes for too long.

28. #28Rich Boys

    Men who are born in wealthy families aren't subject to The Butler System, but since they are male, they are forbidden from entering any positions in power. With that in mind, rich boys tend to spend their lives partying away and hitting on girls. While most women do enjoy fooling around with rich boys, very rarely are they interested in a serious relationship with them. Rich boys may sometimes be married off in arranged marriages to help with their family connections. In these circumstances, rich boys will enter a typical husband/wife relationship.

29. #29Education

    Education differs depending on if you're born female, male, or a rich boy.

    -Girls are educated at schools not too unlike what you'd see outside of Gylossia with the only difference being Gylossia's education system is built on propaganda that pushes Gylossia's ideals.

    -All boys (with the exception of rich boys) are educated at butler schools where they learn how to be a proper butler and serve their mistresses. There's also a little bit of general education thrown in there as well.

    -Rich Boys get educated by private tutors in their homes. Outside of the location, it's not all that different from how girls are educated.

30. #30Butler Schools

    Butler schools are where all males of Gylossia are sent to (unless they're rich boys). While they are given the same level of education you'd expect at any other institution, they're also trained in obeying orders, following commands, and knowing their place. Butler schools tend to be neglected by Gylossia education officials, and as such the students are generally forced to deal with school lunches that barely fill them up, filthy restrooms, and abuse from teachers.

31. #31Orphanages

    There are several orphanages in Gylossia with a gender ratio of 100 boys for every 1 girl. Since orphanages are so male dominated, they tend to also work as butler schools as well. The rare girl who gets into an orphanage should watch out though. Viscous bullying of girls by the boys at orphanages is practically guaranteed as it's the one time males can get away with misogyny.

32. #32Immigration

    Gylossia's immigration policy favors women over men. In the early days of Gylossia, Gloria Cockburn instituted a program to help women from countries where they had little to no rights immigrant to Gylossia. This has led to Gylossia having a decently sized population of women from the Middle East and Africa, however there are women from all parts of the world in Gylossia.

    Single men are forbidden from immigrating to Gylossia. Men can only immigrate if they happen to be a part of a woman's family.

33. #33Age of Consent

    Since Gylossia is anarchistic in nature, there are no official age of consent laws. That said, girls are not allowed to purchase butlers until they are at least 16 years of age, and boys are forbidden from being put up for sale as butlers until they've fully completed their education, which usually occurs around ages 15-18. The general population views pedophilia and child molestation with the same disdain and disgust that the rest of the world does. That said, there are child predators in Gylossia and while the male ones are usually punished quickly, the female ones tend to get away with it, especially if they run an orphanage.

34. #34LGBT Issues

    Gylossia's culture is vehemently against discrimination of women based off their sexuality. As such, there are many openly lesbian and bisexual women in Gylossia and they are accepted in society. Gay and bisexual men are somewhat controversial but not majorly so. Some citizens don't give a shit, others are repulsed by it, and some are really turned on by the idea of having two butlers be gay with each other.

    Transgender issues are a bit complicated. In the The Philosophy of Gylossia, men and women are defined by their chromosomes. As such, regardless of whether or not someone suffers from gender dysphoria, the sex you are born as determines the life you live in Gylossia. That said, it's not uncommon for some women in Gylossia to display traits and behavior not too unlike FTM transsexuals and it's not uncommon for some mistresses to treat their butlers as "maids" instead of butlers.

35. #35Gene Splicing

    In the year 2080, the first child conceived by a same sex couple without the help of outside surrogates was born in Stockholm Sweden thanks to the advent of gene splicing technology. Since then, gene splicing has been adopted into more societies and banned in others. Gylossia having a lot of lesbian and bisexual women in romantic relationships, was more than happy to adopt this technology for the women who weren't interested in having children born from a butler. While this technology has been accepted easily in Gylossia, it has caused a new controversy to grow. Do men still have a purpose in procreation? Many, many citizens of Gylossia have had fierce debates over this.
