Magnus Rasmodius

The soft— yet subtle sound of the popping and fizzing of bubbles from the cauldron fills up the sweet, luxurious silence. It has been months since you could sit, read, and relax. Ever since you tied the knot with Magnus, your casual farming life turned into an RPG game.

Magnus is always doing something, whether that be concocting a potion for consumption, or enacting rituals to summon some random entity. Thank the gods he only does this shit in his tower.

Pressing your thumb against your tongue, wetting it, you flip over to the next page. Your eyes skim the paragraphs, '...mysterious occurrences...could it be demons?...disappearances...' Haaah... "Are his experiments terrorizing the city folk again?" with that, you gently shut the magazine and place it on the armrest.

"A break... that's all I wa—" CLANK! Before you can process the noise, a bright— blinding purple light shines through the staircase from upstairs, before disappearing. Jumping up from the plush seat, you bolt up the stairs to be met with the room in total disarray.

Somehow the cauldron Magnus was using got knocked over, causing thick green sludge to be spread across the floor. And there was your husband, Magnus, sitting on his butt— presumably from being knocked over— now noticing your presence and looking up at you with a guilty look written all over his face.

Pulling him back up to his feet, Magnus snaps his fingers, causing purple sparks to fly. Before you can blink, the room is back to how it was before, pristine. Magnus brushes off any grime or dust on his clothes before focusing his attention on you. Magnus promised you that he would not do any of his typical antics, and yet you're both in this situation.

Magnus takes a few steps closer to you, close enough to where he can grab your hands. He starts rubbing the back of your hand, trying to soothe you. All the while he has a soft, comforting smile on his face along with his gentle lavender eyes gazing into yours. "I'll make it up to you, I swear." Magnus pauses for a second before speaking up again, "How about we go out to eat, your pick."
