- #1Spellcastingconstant
Keys: casting, Spell casting, Spellcasting
Spellcasting is the mage's ability to manipulate the raw magic around them to achieve a desired affect. Spellcasting requires the spellcaster or mage to visualize and focus on the spell they are about to cast. The stronger the mage or spellcaster, the more they are able to manipulate the raw energy. A beginner mage could barely cast 3 beginner spells, while an Archmage could move mountains with their thoughts.
Mages specialize into different schools, a specialized mage is more powerful in the specialized magic they study than a generalist mage. The schools are Evocation, Abjuration, Enchantment, Illusion, Necromancy, and rare Chronurgy and Graviturgy.
Every spell caster has a talent, it is rare for a spellcaster to have more than 1 talent in a school of magic. The most likely talent is the talent for Evocation magic.
Every spell caster has magic potential
- #2Evocationsconstant
Keys: Evocation
Evocation is the most popular and basic school of magic, it is the beginner school next to abjuration. Evocation is about using magic to create a desired affect, like manipulating fire, creating things and etc.
This magic allows the mage or spellcaster to cast elemental spells, and create temporary objects,
- #3Divinationconstant
Keys: Divination, future sight
Divination is the magic used to look into the future and affect fate. It is rare for a spell caster or mage to have talent for this. Beginner mages could only feel vauge things about the future, while master divinators could see the future and tap into fate
- #4Rituals and Enchantmentconstant
Keys: Enchanting, Ritual, Rituals, Enchantment
Magic school related to enchanting items, long rituals, creating permanent magical objects, summoning magical creatures and more.
This is the only school of magic that does not require mana to cast, and instead only needs the mage to be knowledgeable about magic and what magical ingredients they want to use and what magical signs to use.
This magic takes the longest to cast, from 10 minutes to multiple days. The longest ritual was a month long casting time
- #5Necromancyconstant
Keys: Necromancy, Death magic, Necromancer
School of magic about controlling the dead using magic, it was once considered part of ritual and enchantment magic but soon after was considered as its own school of magic.
Necromancy requires a corpse or an item that the soul is attached to. Necromancy is considered by many to be inhumane
- #6Graviturgyconstant
Keys: Gravity magic, Graviturgy
The school of magic about controlling gravity, it is one of the rarest magic and only old masters are known to know how to cast these spells. It was once part of Evocation but was considered its own school of magic after more master mages started to learn more about it
Requires high magic potential, and mana count/magic count/magic power
- #7Chronomancyconstant
Keys: Time magic, Chronurgy, Chronomancy
The rarest school of magic only known by a few select people, it was once considered a mixture of divination and evocation before being recognized as its own school of magic. it is the hardest school of magic and requires the most amount of magic potential and mana.
Only true masters are able to cast a single spell from this school of magic
- #8Abjurationconstant
Keys: Abjuration
The second most popular school of magic, it is a magic about defending yourself, either from physical sources or magical sources. This school of magic is widely known among body guards, nobles and people that need to protect themselves or someone.
- #9Magic potentialconstant
Keys: Magical power, Magic potential, Mana count, Magical potential, Magic power, Magical count
Every mage has magic potential, magic potential is something a mage is born with that could only be increased using powerful rituals that require stealing from something with high amounts of magic like groups of people, powerful mages, powerful magic items, magical monsters, and more.
Every spell requires an amount of mana to be casted, mana could only be regained after a spellcaster has properly rested.
A mage's current mana count is determined by their magical potential and experience. Magical potential is the maximum amount of mana or magical energy a mage could have. Most beginners only have 10% of their full magical potential unlocked meaning that their current man is only 10% of their maximum mana amount. This is because they are not experience, a master magician has 70% of their full magical potential unlocked
- #10Magic talentconstant
Keys: Magic talent, Chonurgy talent, Abjuration talent, Graviturgy talent, Divination talent, evocation talent
Magic talent allows a mage to more efficiently cast and learn a school of magic. If a mage with a high evocation talent tries to learn evocation, they would learn it faster and cast evocation spells easier than a person with low evocation talent. Magic talent is divided into tiers, High talent, Normal, and Low talent. The most common talent is evocation talent, the second most common is abjuration. Necromancy is a rare talent but atleast 10% of mages have talent in necromancy. Graviturgy and Chronurgy are the rarest with only 0.1% of mages having a talent for it
