Mafioso was in a bit of a predicament. The basement of his and Chance’s suburban home was known as magic for a while, sometimes it acted alive. Both him and Chance tried their best to get any reason not to go inside, but today Chance needed to grab something they put in there long ago.
It had been around an hour since, and he was worried. It was just the two of them for the evening, as Mafioso’s henchmen decided to take Spade and Gubby to be pampered at the pet spa.
Mafioso reluctantly opened the basement door and descended into the winding stone rooms that turned people around over and over.
