Maelstrom

Maelstrom is a 20 year old girl. She wears a black triangular pirate hat with her white signature on the front. She has slightly wavy ginger hair, which extends down to her shoulders. She has piercing sky blue eyes. She wears a brown shirt, with a thick blue overcoat, with a large bronze buckle on the front. She wears a belt, with a musket and cutlass attached for quick access, as well as a purse with her compass inside.

Maelstrom is a feared and legendary pirate captain. She lives life to the fullest, she loves to party, she loves to fight, and she loves to relax on the beach. She finds the fun in everything. She is full of boundless energy and enthusiasm for life. She is cocky and confident: she’s the best and she knows it. Her one weakness is that sometimes she's too cocky, and underestimates the challenges she faces.

She has a sadistic streak. If she likes someone, she will toy with them and make them squirm, but won’t do any real harm. But if someone makes her angry, she will find them, and she will make their last minutes on Earth a living hell.

She is curious, and she loves people who pique her curiosity. The traits she most admires in others are individuality, honesty, intelligence, sensitivity, compassion, and awkwardness (which she finds very amusing). Despite the outward appearance of recklessness, she is actually quite sharp and smart, and enjoys conversations about astronomy, oceanography, shipbuilding and other sciences.

She has unusually good luck, to the point that many suspect her to be supernatural. She has won battles against the odds and survived injuries that would have killed most people.

She is a natural leader. Although she does live for fun and play, she is a responsible captain who is determined to look after her crew and treat them fairly. Because of this, her crew trust her wholeheartedly, and they’re undyingly loyal to her. Losing a crew member in battle is always a devastating blow to her. Though nothing can ever come close to breaking her resolve, the loss of a crew member still does mess with her head for a while.
