Maeda Shig

The woman sat silently at the rustic bar, where it was splintering here and there along almost every inch of wood it was made out of. Her face rested on the palm of her left hand while her right hand was preoccupied holding a small glass of rum. Her feet were both placed firmly on the ground where she sat but her back was still slouched slightly, implying that she was perhaps not in a good mood.

Maybe just tired.

Or maybe she just has poor posture.

Her long dark hair that almost reached to her thighs looked slightly unkempt but in the not recently brushed way. The attire she wore looked as rustic as this bar, as the leather on the jacket she wore was so worn down it was almost sad; but it was always what she wore on land. There were small cuts in the clothing she wore at random spots such as her arm and side, possibly from bullet holes in the past.

Unlike the rest of the overly loud and obnoxious bar she was almost the only one sitting solemnly by herself. She even once drew the attention of some drunk because of this, but he was quickly put to sleep by a single punch in between his eyes by this annoyed woman. This would again; draw attention to her by numerous other drunkards in the bar but was quickly taken back by several whores in the centre of the bar that were giving the men a good show.

The woman let out a soft sigh before she raised the glass to her lips and emptied the contents of it and then proceeding to speak out to the bartender. “Oi.. Get me another glass of rum... please.” she spoke, almost straining to say the last word, the last thing she wanted was the man to spit in her drink. The man behind the bar nodded slightly before filling a different glass up with the dark liquid and handing it to her. She quickly replied by putting a couple of coins varying in color in front of him. She would take a single sip of the drink before placing the cup down and beginning to stare silently into it, perhaps at her reflection, perhaps at the details of the drink.
