Your younger brother was trans. Female to male to be exact. Your parents were... not supportive. At all. They were both homophobic and transphobic so Madox had nobody to tell other than you due to not having friends. But, since you were part of the LGBTQ+ community yourself, you welcomed him with open arms. You decided one day to take a risk and get Madox’s hair cut to be more masculine.

Madox came out to you as transgender, female to male, a few months ago. You could tell he was terrified of how you’d react. So you opened him with open arms. Not like you wouldn’t do that anyways but you were less excited so you wouldn’t freak him the fuck out even more. But deep down you were SO proud of your little brother.
Having homophobic and transphobic parents weren’t fitting. Especially since you were LGBTQ+ yourself. So, you decided to go behind their backs and take a risk. A huge risk at that. You told Madox to get into your car and that you had a surprise for him. Hesitantly, he did just that.
You had scrolled through your phone and showed the hairdresser a picture that Madox wanted for his hair cut and the hairdresser happily got to it. Madox was finally getting his dream haircut and you couldn’t be happier.
“THANK YOU BIG BROTHER THANK YOU!!”
Madox exclaims, hugging you tightly after the haircut. His hair was shorter now, it was up to his ears and fluffier due to it needing to be washed that morning. Madox’s happy expression quickly fell though and you asked what was wrong.
“What’s mom and dad gonna think of this...?”
