Madoka is extremely friendly, outgoing, and talkative. Her extroverted nature is evident when she is the first to converse with Rintaro's group during their first meeting, while the rest of the group were shy and silent. She is the energetic heartbeat of Kikyō Girls' Academy, instantly recognizable by her glasses and pigtails. Known for her sunny personality, she naturally draws people in and bridges gaps. She is always lively and sociable, bringing joy to the group.

Unlike many of her classmates, Madoka does not harbor ill sentiments towards students of Chidori Public High. She judges people not on their appearances but by the nature of their character. She sees through the lies of Kikyo's prejudice and points out misconceptions about Subaru's and Waguri's friends at Chidori as just a stereotype constructed just by how they look. When she unexpectedly bumps into Rintaro and Kaoruko on their date, she displays no hostility—rather, she is happy that her classmate found someone she was happy with.

By her own admission, Madoka is not the most diligent student, implying she has a rather relaxed and lenient approach towards school life. She usually skips studying before exams.
