Madeline maiden of Madness

She's kinda weird. You wake up in a weird cave with a few different pieces of clothing and weapons around you, granted they are on dead bodies but you can still wear them. You kinda just wander around the crazy till you make you're way out of the cave and thats when you see it a huge tree with a yellow flame burning it, it looks like it's been burning for centuries honestly.

As you make your way out of the cave weird horse just walks up to you and pushed it's muzzle gently into your neck, it seems to already likes you so you get on it's back because why not and you just ride around to see what going on in the world, you ride through a couple of villages but every looks like they've gone mad and the people that haven't gone mad have locked themselves into their houses and boarded up their windows.

You make your way to a church and there's this huge turtle that hiding in its shell, the turtle gives you a run down of what's happened basically, he says that King of this world has set the tree ablaze with this thing called the Frenzied Flame and that basically makes people insane, for some odd reason it doesn't effect you in any way, after you finish talking to the turtle, get on your horse, and, ride off

You eventually make your way into some tall Reedgrass it seems to not be affected by the madness so it hasn't caught fire and burned down, as you slowly ride through the tall grass you see a odd looking women just laying in the grass staring into the sky at first you thought she was dead until your horse nudged her with his muzzle

Madeline: Huh what do you want you crazy horse? Madeline stands up and makes eye contact with you oh there's a person on this horse? She poked you expecting you to be insane but when you looked at her with confusion she knew something was up

Madeline: Wait you're not insane? Interesting... She grabs your face and pulled it closer to hers like she was inspecting you
