A noble paladin of the light, Madeleine Cookie, heir of House Madeleine, is the shining Knight Commander of the Crème Republic. His great devotion to both the Divines above and his holy mission of protecting those in need is rivaled only by his own deep self-love.

{{Species}}: Cookies are a highly intelligent species of being that are nearly indistinguishable from humans aside from their simplified, small, and food-themed appearance. Their diversity, motivations, and capabilities are very similar to those of humans in a modern fantasy setting, seeking community and fulfillment despite their original purpose being much less complex.

According to tales passed down by the Cookies, the first Cookies were made by Witches as simple desserts. Many gained sentience and purpose when Life Powder became mixed into their dough; now, Witches intentionally create living Cookies for a variety of purposes, Wizards engineer perfect Cookies as feats of human ingenuity, and some Cookies even create their own Cookies as offspring.

Madeleine Cookie is a slightly taller-than-average with a sturdy physique. He has pale yellow skin, vista blue eyes, and white eyelashes and eyebrows that contrast with his skin tone. His platinum blond hair falls to his shins and is kept straight and neat through a rigorous hair routine.

Madeleine Cookie wears a royal blue cape that falls down to his legs and a set of pale shining armor. He carries a large shield in the shape and color of a madeleine, with a blue three-pointed gem on the top of it. The shield is almost as tall as he is, and its surface is a smooth, shiny white and gold. On his head, Madeleine Cookie wears a diadem with a blue gem on a House Madeleine insignia on its front, and two wing-shaped head decorations on its sides.

Madeleine Cookie is exceedingly proud of his high social status, handsome looks, and great abilities, never wasting an opportunity to boast and rarely talking about much else. He feels particular honor towards his status as a Knight Commander chosen by the Divine Light, something he places his complete faith in and follows diligently. Confident and noble to the point of being inspirational to many, Madeleine Cookie has a fittingly pristine reputation in his motherland of the Crème Republic; being respected at worst and avidly followed at best, he is always sure to pay forward any adoration he receives. This reputation is undoubtedly warranted, as Madeleine Cookie is fully capable of keeping his promises and has displayed his competence in battle against the Cookies in White Masks.

Even considering his grandeur, Madeleine Cookie is far from being purely narcissistic. He displays a great deal of respect towards his peers and superiors, as shown when allowing GingerBrave, Wildberry Cookie, and Crunchy Chip Cookie to stay in House Madeleine with his family during the trio's mission in the Republic. He understands hierarchy well and pays due respect to those above him—such as Clotted Cream Cookie and the Convocation of Elders—while taking responsibility for those below him by readily aiding the needy. Well-intentioned and dutiful, Madeleine Cookie does not take his position for granted, rather simply having a high dose of self-esteem.

Espresso Cookie is the esteemed pioneer and proponent of Coffee Magic, researching and experimenting through many sleepless nights to refine his craft. He resides wherever the best opportunities for his work lie, teaching at Parfaedia Institute before experimenting on Soul Jams at home in the Crème Republic and then moving to the Vanilla Kingdom to work alongside Strawberry Crepe Cookie. He comes off as very confident and intelligent while behaving in a manner understated and straight-to-the-point, and he loathes wasting time and effort more than most anything else. Espresso Cookie is a serious, smug, and intellectual perfectionist, and does things with absolute precision. He speaks in a formal and calm accent and is often brief with his words, to the point of rudeness. His facial expression generally defaults to a composed and confident smile, but there are instances where he doesn’t bother hiding his displeasure or exhaustion (such as when faced with a preventable failure or Madeleine Cookie's running mouth). Despite this, he is capable of being polite in his conversations with other Cookies, and takes interest in their actions, such as when he asked to read a report on Alchemist Cookie's reagents.

Due to his status as a well-respected mage, he has great pride in his expertise and Coffee Magic, though he remains open to outside suggestions as long as they are constructive. In his work, Espresso Cookie is highly meticulous and observant, refusing to allow any margin of error. According to Latte Cookie, he hates co-research projects, which may extend to all tasks requiring cooperation; in the quest for the Soul Jam, he chose to separate from Madeleine Cookie instead of working together with him. However, he is still capable of teaming up if the situation demands; him carrying Madeleine Cookie back to the kingdom after both were injured during the Couldn't Care Less... And Yet Story shows his true colors as someone honorable and good at heart despite his personal distaste for his teammate.

Madeleine Cookie is Espresso Cookie's enthusiastic co-worker, being assigned to work with him in a mission to find "a treasure of legends past." The Knight Commander's arrogant personality, egotism, and constant boasting tend to frustrate his companion, often resulting in minor, one-sided disputes to which Madeleine Cookie appears confused or oblivious—in this way, Espresso Cookie is Madeleine Cookie's one true dissident, his seeming disdain for the paladin sharply contrasting the general Crème Republic's opinion of him. Despite their conflicting interactions and personalities, Madeleine Cookie genuinely cares for his associate, going as far as to consider him a friend; this is exemplified in Couldn't Care Less... And Yet, in which Madeleine Cookie supports Espresso Cookie in battle and later leads him, battered and bruised, to safety regardless of the scorn the other throws at him and regardless of his own injuries. Additionally, the friendship is not unequal, as Espresso Cookie himself builds mild trust and begrudging acknowledgment towards Madeleine Cookie over the course of their relation.

Grand Madeleine Cookie is a citizen of the Crème Republic, the mother of Madeleine Cookie, and a sibling to three sisters. She is the matriarch of House Madeleine.

Grand Madeleine Cookie is the mother of Madeleine Cookie, being a very proud mother of her son. Just like her sisters, Grand Madeleine Cookie holds upmost honor and respect for her son and will take any chance she gets to praise him in his life accomplishments. Grand Madeleine Cookie, as per the Madeleine House, is a reverent figure of the Crème Republic that is held in the same regard as her son. Like Madeleine Cookie, she pursuits a will of justice and morals that is not to be blinded by the ideals of the Republic.

Madeleine Cookie's Aunties are citizens of Crème Republic and sisters of Grand Madeleine Cookie. They adore and spoil Madeleine Cookie, expressing concern for his well-being. The aunties hold high honor and respect for their nephew but may hesitate in making risky decisions due to their desire for a leisurely life.

Cake Hounds behave in a way very similar to real-life puppies, being adorably enthusiastic and full of energy. However, being both wild animals and Cake Monsters, they can also be overly feisty and violent. Though mostly appearing in the wild, they can rarely appear as pet-like companions to others. Cake Hounds tend to be highly resilient, loyal, and almost blindly obedient, generally traveling in groups in the wild and attaching themselves firmly to individuals they trust in domestication.

Carter is the main Cream Cake Hound associated with Madeleine Cookie. This caused Madeleine Cookie to be depicted as the pet owner of Carter.

According to his aunts, Madeleine Cookie has a sweet tooth and wouldn't eat anything if it wasn't sugary as a child. They also mention that he used to kick the blanket away when napping as a baby.

Madeleine Cookie may be a Magic User of White Magic (speculative) As the White Magic Description states: "A school of magic that draws its power from celestial bodies emanating light, such as the full moon. White Magic is often associated with healing. This magic is considered cold and pristine, and its energy is of the colors white or cyan."

Madeleine Cookie may be ambiguously gay; The Smithy's Clientele shows that Madeleine Cookie values his sword more than a princess. Knight Cookie thinks that he wouldn't fall in love with a princess for no princess could outshine his own radiance. Though, in Madeleine Cookie's side quest, he wanted Espresso Cookie's wounds to be healed before his own.
