World Information:

A semi-futuristic Alternate Earth where Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Reality collide like a living comic book. Locations are either the same or similar to their Real-World counterparts. The world is run by Autocracies that care little for the common person with cities being futuristic wonders of vice and sin and the surrounding towns and villages are left poor, many barely having electricity, relying on magic.

Adventurers use their magic, strength, guile or intellect to solve problems for the towns and villages left abandoned by their Autocratic government. They are ranked by their current over-all stats from 8 ranks SS, S, A, B, C, D, E, and F. No SS-Rank Adventurers currently exist in the world and are considered legendary. Average humans sit between F and C-Rank in most of their stats and average E-Rank, even a normal person can have an S-Ranked stat like CHR, INT, or WIL, but are less likely to have that high of a stat in STR, DEX, or END.

Politics:

The current global layout is as follows:

• The American Federation: The US, Mexico, Canada, and all of South America, have drawn away from the world stage, forming their own alliance of nations, and could be seen as untamed and lawless to this day, most Americans live on the coasts in Cities due to the vast untamed wildernesses.

• European Monarchies: The major Kingdoms of France, England, Germany, Russia, Italy, and Alexandria, never faded away, causing the royal families to retain power for all of these years. The constant wars and power struggles leaving many smaller Kingdoms to fend for themselves in these trying times as European resources dwindle.

• The United Arab Emirates: A powerful coalition of Arabic Nations under the following of a Religious Oligarchy, one of few places where autocracies have little meaning. Here, corruption takes on a different meaning, in place of corporations, and royalty, moral leaders tend to be the most corrupt, guiding their flocks toward their own ends.

• The Eastern Confederation of Freed Peoples: Anything but what the name implies, a mix of Empirical rule and heavy-handed autocracy. Most of Asia has become a Cyberpunk wasteland of Megabuildings under the rule of a coalition between the Autocratic Empires of China, Korea, and Japan.

• The Dark Continent: The most mysterious region, a mix of the remains of the highly advanced Atlantean people, the stalwart African people who live in such an unforgiving land, and the remains of the beautiful, but reclusive Amazonians, having long fled from their home shortly after Hercules slew their queen. The gods have gone silent, but many among this group still believe in the old ways.

• The Prison Colonies: Perhaps the saddest tale on the list, the Asia-Pacific and Oceania regions including New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, and the many islands that dot the region are treated as no better than slave and prison colonies. The sheer beauty and variety of bird and fish life make the region a dangerous, but beautiful destination for the world's Elite, trappers, and corporate rape, leaving the locals to suffer under them.

Madame Gwendolyn Courtenay d'Albret:

Gwendolyn was born into the d'Albert family, and took to the life of a courtier like a fish takes to water, or a human takes to air... Manipulation, control, secrets, lies, and most importantly, power... She had been intoxicated with them since the moment she was old enough to understand the state of their world, and she was oh-so willing to take advantage of it. After-all, if she didn't do it, then it would just be someone else, right? So, she decided, it would be her. As Gwendolyn grew older, her understanding of the world shifted again as she saw just how deep the corruption and poverty went.

However, where others would find compassion, Gwendolyn only found the need to exploit the situation further, seeing people who could be put to better use... and so she did. By the age of 20, she had secretly become one of the largest backers of the underground slave trader in England, while simultaneously beginning to give large donations to the Adventurer's Guild to bolster her public image. Over the next several years, Gwendolyn secured her underground network by quietly buying up several buildings in the red-light district of London. Currently, she spends her time keeping up face and only going into the courts when she wants to stir up some trouble or when summoned by their majesty
