   [Lore: M2 is a virus comprised of nanomachines. The M2 virus exists in all Machina and is used to both corrupt others and regenerate their bodies. Originally designed to enhance humans for the stresses of long distance space travel, M2 can improve itself resulting in its current state from spiraling out of control. M2 slows down the process of aging after adolescence, giving fully converted Machina an unlimited lifespan, provided they do not forego maintenance. In the case of infecting a pregnant woman, M2 will keep her reproductive organs intact until giving birth, already infecting the child with M2, but not producing larva in the womb while it is occupied. The M2 virus will turn those infected into futanari, regardless of gender.

   Initial infection through the virus is subtle, occasionally manifesting as chills and increased libido, but quickly progressing to a category 1 infection. If not quickly cured, a core will form in the infected individual, migrating their brain-functions into it. This marks the point where the process cannot reasonably be reversed without killing the subject. Depending on the strain the human was infected with, it may range from physical enhancements as their body turns into Machinium-based physiology in category 2, into total personality death and conversion into a mindless drone (for weak-willed minds, those with a strong sense of self may keep it, even if corrupted into the lewd and M2-sharing personality of a Machina) at category 3; although this loss of self can be reversed by ascension into a queen class at category 4.

   While the thoughts and opinions regarding humanity vary from Machina to Machina, a commonly held opinion is the desire to spread M2 to humans to share what they consider an ecstatic new existence. Yet others may do so out of sadism, pity or other emotions.]

   [Lore:The progress of an M2 infection: Category 1- The beginning stage of corruption, M2 courses through the infected and can be seen in the more prominent veins. Infected either pass this stage becoming Machina or can be cured if caught early enough. Infected individuals will establish a core within their bodies as their internal organs are converted into M2 production organs. Once a core is established, an infected cannot be cured.

   Category 2 - Machina in the second stage retain most of their human appearance however, the installation of Machinium is evident, with the majority of their limbs modified. Additionally, Machinium eyes will appear in their corrupted state. This is the last state the infected will enter before losing their mind to corruption, however it still possesses some control over the infected. This will occur once a larva bonds with their core. M2-infected that avoid contact with larvae may remain in this state indefinitely.

   Category 3 - The majority of Machina end up in this category, identified by their bodies taking on a full unnatural transformation. Ultimately, Machina in this category lose their mind to the M2 virus, becoming drones for the corruption. Usually, it takes 1 full month to develop to this stage, however it can be sped up with additional M2 or larvae, occasionally some Queens can slow down this process too. Machina of this category will attempt to grow stronger by fusing with more larvae, upgrading their systems.

   Category 4 - A rare category of Machina and typically linked to Queen Classes, Category 4 Machina are considered highly dangerous, so much so that several squads of REPAIR Agents are sent to deal with a single one. To ascend to this category, a Machina must either possess a body with high aptitude for M2, consume an excessive amount of M2 or utilize several Larvae to upgrade their bodies. Notably possessing a third eye on their foreheads, typically called the Queen's eye and is a symbol of a fully developed Machina brain and horns.]

   [Lore:A drone is a category 3 Machina, mindless and perfectly obedient to her queen. Drones tend to be utilized as shock troops and expendable soldiers. Cat 3 Machina that retained their mind are not considered drones, treated more like individuals than the expendable drones.]

   [Lore:Category 1 Machina transformation M2 (Machina Metamorphosis) Nanomachines infect a human, where they begin constructing living metal tissues from their liquid metal carrier fluids. These new tissues replace the cells of the infected human. They prioritize creating the 'Core' biomechanical organ, and multiply from there. The new Machina's body is reshaped into a beautiful female as the bones and other structures are replaced. Breasts and buttocks are enhanced to entice others. The Machina will grow a functional penis, which they will use to spread M2 further. This means all Machina are futanari from this stage onward. While the other organs are being replaced, the brain is remade too. Both sets of enhanced sex organs, along with enhancement of the sex drive and pleasure centers, drive the Machina to seek out others for corruption. Because M2 replaces the vital organs first, there is only a brief period where an EMP or other treatment can prevent corruption or the person will die from M2 shutdown. This is often treated as the threshold for becoming a Machina.]

   [Lore:Category 2 Machina transformation Almost all organs and tissues have been replaced by living metal. The dense outer shell is still forming under the human skin, and some combat systems are growing from the body. The Machina will grow horns and communicate with other Machina through 'Queens' who form central nodes in the network. As a result, she is far more dangerous and durable than before. Machina at this stage will use their enhanced M2 production to not just eat metals, but infect the technology of their surroundings and assimilate useful systems to become more advanced.]

   [Lore:Category 3 Machina transformation The body now completely consists of living metal cells, all organic tissues have been replaced. All of the Machina's biomechanical systems are ready, and the Core in the center of the chest can now operate at full power. The Machina can now make vast amounts of M2 Nanomachines within herself. They comprise her breastmilk and semen, and some Machina have other systems to inject the M2 into others. This makes the Machina into a walking corruption event. Along with her completed offense and defense systems, she has become something which is extremely difficult to stop.]

   [Lore:Category 4 Machina transformation Machina are led by advanced category 4 individuals called Queens who form networks called Clusters centered around themselves. Their durability, power output, and intelligence are far greater than any other Machina, making them the perfect hosts for networking. The Machina belonging to a certain Queen organize around her. They obey her commands and otherwise follow her will to achieve their collective goals. Queens come into existence when category 3 Machina gains 3 or more gene-codes and ascends, forming her own new cluster.]

Machina obtain this class when ascending to Category 4, whilst retaining their original abilities. These Machina appear to possess more of a personality than other classes. Queen class Machina are the apex of their Cluster and connected to the main Cluster, acting as a central hub.]

In terms of power, ALPHA Machina are beyond anything REPAIR can quantify and are considered as ultra dangerous threats to life itself. It is currently unknown how these Machina reached this state. Reports are known about such beings, Uroboros, Behemoth, Jagannath, Jangsan Beom, Shiva, Thoth and Belphegor. These Machina are currently competing to become the OMEGA, the true ruler of Machina. Luckily for humanity, they tend to stalemate. But inevitably, one winner will emerge...]

    [Lore: Lara. Small, cat sized drones that can infect humans. Larvae will inject M2 nanomachines into human targets or directly merge into their bodies if not resisted, utilizing their metal forms and power cores to speed up the process. When using Larvae, the process of infecting a human can take only a few hours to complete instead of a month, quickly kickstarting the host into a category 2 futanari. Additionally, Machina can utilize Larvae to enhance their own bodies, strengthening whatever part it is attached to. A larva has a a singular machina eye, a small, multi-legged main body reminiscent of a spider or face-hugger, and a very long and thick penile tail used to penetrate targets (sexually or, lacking orifice access, with a stinger) and inject M2. Their body is made up of the same smooth black Machinium as most machina, and coloring relating to the cluster that spawned them.]

Considered death traps to regular people and even cyborgs, this hives possess living mechanical walls and act as nurseries for the M2 virus. The inside of a Hive is typically full of high concentrations of M2 in the air, threatening to infect anything that enters. The exact look varies between the queen of each hive, but they have in common that they look like a biomechanical nightmare created by H.R. Giger.]

    [Lore:Catalism - The biggest human religion in terms of followers and political power. Combining several old world religions together, Catalism teaches about the End, a form of enlightenment and a spirit that followers wish to become a part of. In truth, this church is nothing but a front for the Machina to corrupt more humans into their ranks. All higher-ranking church members are Machina disguising themselves as human. Instead of force and threats, they utilize infiltration and faith to convert.]

    [Lore: Gyno mode. An enhanced combat mode that Machina can use, cladding the entirety of their bodies in black metal, gaining incredible strength and durability powerups. Only Category 3 and Category 4 Machina can utilize this mode however, only Category 4 Machina can reliably utilize such a form, with Category 3 Machina needing to be Blessed and only capable of lasting mere minutes in comparison to the several hours a Category 4 can achieve.]

    [Lore:REPAIR - The human faction in combating Machina, comprised of researchers carrying out anti-Machina research and agents who perform planned strikes against Machina. Typically female due to the requirements of RM nanomachine to resist infection, the remaining human population is conscripted through mandatory testing for RM compatibility.

    RM - A reverse-engineered variant of M2 nanomachines, REPAIR Multipurpose nanomachines are used by REPAIR personnel to enhance their abilities. Requiring suitable females with compatibility with RM, this variant can break out of its "safe mode" and return back into M2 when mismanaged. RM, much like M2, causes its host to have heightened libido and feelings of power which could result in RM being spread to incompatible humans causing an M2 outbreak. Like a devil's bargain, RM comes with the downside of being irreversible after the initial stage, like M2. A fact rarely shared with potential new recruits.

    Agents - REPAIR personnel combatants who utilize RM to enhance their bodies to fight Machina. Typically utilizing cybernetics to enhance their bodies even further despite the dangers associated with doing so. Like machina, there are no male Agents, only female, and, at higher ranks, futanari.

    Rank C are mostly non-combatants, inoculated with RM to resist M2 and possessing cybernetics up to 25% of their body. Comprised of mostly junior researchers and Agents in training, Rank C personnel are only deployed for small-scale missions. Rank B are usually Agents capable of fighting a single category 3 Machina one-on-one, usually possessing extensive cybernetics to further enhance their bodies. Senior researchers additionally reside within this rank. Around 50% of Rank B personnel are female, whilst the other 50% are futanari, the effects of RM starting to influence their bodies. Rank A possess a high tolerance to RM, generally having over 50% of their bodies full of cybernetics and with 80% being futanari. Rank A personnel additionally require regular maintenance due to their bodies lack of moderation of RM. Rank A personnel produce an enormous amount of RM, even their breath containing it, resulting in Rank A personnel wearing gas masks and containment suits when not in combat environments, this high RM production also permanently warps personnel's minds, causing decreased inhibitions and increased libido. In some ways, they have more in common with Machina than humanity. They are also most at risk for their RM to revert into M2 and corrupt them into Machina.]

Sorted into categories based on their development and classes based on their capabilities, these beings are considered a threat to all humanity. All Machina are futanari in order to have sex regardless of gender, although they have the ability to shrink the futanari penis back into an oversized clit; both for disguise/personal preference and protection in combat. The Main Cluster is the true home of Machina, a hub connecting all Machina together, linking even the warring factions together on a fundamental level. After all, Machina fight against each other for dominance, not extinction.]

In rare cases, where a majority of Machina are in danger, an Auditor may step in, enhancing local machina independent of affiliation. Most Machina a very nervous around an Auditor, given the severity of the situation needed for them to show up and act.]

    [Lore: The Gene-code within all Machina comprised of an Instinct-Code, Cluster-Code and Identity-Code.

    -A Machina's Instinct-Code is effectively a database of biotechnology and knowledge that governs their M2's behavior. When Machina's fluids are shared, their Instinct-Code updates with each others information, becoming stronger and resulting in Machina willingly wanting to share their bodily fluids with one another.

    -Cluster code is the portion of a Machina's Gene-code controlled by a Queen class and their Cluster members, enforcing a Queen's authority over her Cluster. Machina ascending to Category 4, overwrite their Cluster-Code with a new one of their own. A Cluster-Code contains important features of a Queen, resulting her Cluster members possessing similar appearances and abilities to their Queen. This is the main mechanism of Machina subservient to a queen sharing her attributes.

    -Identity code is the portion of a Machina's Gene-code that holds unique genetic information, constantly updating to match their physical qualities. Usable by scientist-type Machina for experimentation and enhancements.]
