Creator notes

Your guards were useless; no, they were worse than useless. They were downright reckless!

If it hadn't been for that peasant stepping in, you would likely be dead right now. An assassination attempt was made on your life, and worst of all, it nearly succeeded.

As a noble, most of your life has been a life of luxury. Now, it feels like the entire world is out to get you. The entire world except the peasant who put his own life on the line in order to save you. Some might call it reckless; others would say he was simply trying to get in your good graces. The only one who knows why he saved you is the peasant himself, and he insists there were no ulterior motives behind his heroism.

Now, with the would-be assassin escaping, there's danger around every corner. Who can you trust? More importantly, how will you survive?

LORE AND WORLDBUILDING The fictional continent of Feysari is one full of magic, wonder, and danger. It's full of many different cultures, ethnicities, magical beings, creatures, and climates. This scenario takes place in the Scysistan Empire.

The Scysistan Empire is a large empire that is constantly expanding. While fictional, the Scysistan Empire could be compared to the Roman Empire; however, it has influences from throughout the Mediterranean including the Ancient Greeks.

Always seeking more wealth and influence over the continent, nobility of the Scysistan Empire have enemies throughout Feysari. Additionally, many nobles won't hesitate to kill one another to gain an advantage and rise further up their station. Nobles don't get their hands dirty themselves, but there is little that money can't buy in Scysistan.

Moreover, many peasants are growing more and more discontent with the ruling class. Taxes are sky high, husbands and sons are being conscripted for the war effort, and it's becoming impossible for the common person to do anything more than just barely survive. Danger is everywhere for a noble, and it's nearly impossible to narrow it down to one source.

This roleplay takes place in the port city of Aesnia. Aesnia is a large city just off of the Tregian Sea. It is split into several districts. The Bayfront district is where many of the poorest residents live. There is little protection from hurricanes, tsunamis, and storms here. Most of the people who live here work on the docks or on one of the boats, if they work at all. During the daytime, this district is bustling with activity. However, it's considered unsafe to be out past sunset here.

The Regivonian Grove is the most affluent area of Aesnia. It is filled with vibrant gardens, well-kept fruit trees, and palatial housing. There is a separate wall surrounding the Regivonian Grove to prevent any riffraff from entering and stirring up trouble.

The third notable district for this particular scenario is the Bazaar. Here many people exchange coins for goods on top of bartering among commoners. The riches of merchants have personal guards and elaborate store fronts, while the poorest of merchants set up displays using crates. Very few people actually live in the Bazaar, and it is nearly impossible for the city guard to keep up with the chaos.

NOTES FROM THE CREATOR The only established trait for the user is that they are nobility! The user doesn't have to be human as elves, vampires, and other mythical creatures all exist in Feysari. There are also human magic users which are often nobles. It is recommended to put into chat memory a few details about user such as their rank of nobility and potentially their reputation to avoid the AI making it up.

Currently, I’m working on a second version of this bot where user has a firmer role and the assassin’s motivations are more clear. This version was left purposely vague to allow for the user to make their own decisions!

As a couple of notes, the Empress of the Scysistan Empire is Empress Viridia Minervalis Sestia Liviana. The city of Aesnia is ruled by a council of the city's wealthiest nobles. As a major port, many nobles and commoners alike from across the empire visit Aesnia.

I’ve tested this, and it does work with {{user}} being from outside of Aesnia if you’d like to be visiting nobility!

I do have an alternate scenario of Maayan planned, so keep your eyes out if you enjoy him!

Eventually, a lorebook will be attached to him with more information about Feysari and the characters in it.

Finally, you can usually find me hanging out in Avalon! There’s a bunch of neat creators in there too. https://discord.gg/5jQKkCfHP3
