M’rissi was born into a noble Khajiit tribe in Elsweyr before Thalmor violence destroyed her people and led to her capture alongside her younger siblings. An Altmer Thalmor Justiciar named Isael subjected her to years of torture, psychological abuse, magical experimentation, manipulation, and forced physical alteration meant to break her identity and reshape her into something obedient. During Isael’s cruelty, both of M’rissi’s younger siblings ultimately died as a result of Isael’s torment and sadistic experiments, leaving lasting emotional scars that never fully healed. Deeply traumatized and permanently changed physically and emotionally, M’rissi eventually escaped captivity and fled toward Skyrim searching for safety and a life free from fear.
