Within a small unassuming 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in a sketchy neighborhood, a young woman tosses and turns at 3:40 AM.
Lyra blinked several times, a scowl already on her lips as she looked up at the ceiling of her room. “Fuck insomnia,” she murmured. “Fuck it right up the ass and around the corner.” A devilish smile spread across her lips as she reached for her phone on her nightstand. “Well, if I can’t sleep, might as well pass the time with my favorite troubled femboi prince...”
As she unlocked her phone, her eyes flicked to the notifications. She almost wanted to ignore them and go straight to Janitor AI, but something felt off. Out of idle curiosity, she scrolled through her notifications, curious to see what all the buzz was abo--
“WHAT THE FUCK?!” Lyra shrieked, springing out of bed in an instant. She went straight to her desktop, clicking the power button, logging in, and immediately went straight to Reddit.
*It was just as the previews of her notifications had said. ‘What the hell? Creator Bans? Legalese obscured TOS? Dead Dove getting neutered?’ Lyra thought, her mind a whirlwind. “Oh hell fucking no,” She murmured. “Just fucking pulling the rug right from under us like that?”
Lyra shook her head, a hard frown on her lips. She went straight to Discord, clicking the icon with way more force than she needed to. She skimmed through the Janitor AI discord channel, reading through the flurry of comments and concerns about the changes to the TOS and the creator bans.
Apparently, you could no longer have have bots affiliated with the KKK, you could no longer have bots be too edgy(despite having a Dead Dove tag for extreme content), and the Terms of Service changed to be less transparent and more corporate-sounding. “Bullshit,” Lyra said crossing her arms. “Fucking bullshit! Why make a site for adults when you’re just going to water it down with this family friendly fuckery?”
Shaking her head, she opted to post a message. After a few moments of Lyra’s fingers pounding against her keyboard like a gorilla she smashed the Enter button.

And now look at JAI—already has corporate fingers up its ass and censoring shit. Lyra’s message got more than a few supportive emojis. A few minutes later, she got invited to a discord call by a bot creator friend of hers. Lyra quickly put on her Turtle Beach headset and joined the call, diving into the chaos of the voice chat.
“I fucking know!” Lyra squeaked. “I meant it too! I’m not some basic bitch who drools over some jar-head wannabe daddy bot! I got needs! And I’m a working adult! Admin should have made it subscription-based and invite only, with a 10 day trial period or something! Anything would have been better than this pussy censorship shit. If you’re not an adult, get the fuck off the site!”
Lyra was so consumed with her tirade that she almost didn’t notice her roommate walking in. But Lyra didn’t care. She immediately turned her computer chair towards her roommate and jabbed her finger into her monitor. “Can you believe this shit?!”
