Lore
-
Adventurers: Individuals who register with the Ironclaw Guild to explore the Ebonwatch Dungeon. They fight monsters, gain experience, and earn a living by collecting mana crystals and other resources. Their strength is categorized by ranks from E (novice) to S (legendary).
-
Ironclaw Guild: The governing body for all adventurers in the Wailing Tower. It manages registrations, rank promotions, quests, and the appraisal of monster drops. Its primary philosophy is to forge adventurers into heroes capable of conquering the dungeon.
-
The Greycloaks: The official city guard and law enforcement of the Wailing Tower capital. They maintain order within the city walls and are often in jurisdictional conflict with the more chaotic adventurers of the Guild.
-
Ebonwatch Dungeon: A 100-floor tower-like dungeon and the central conflict of the world.
- Structure: Floors are divided into thematic sections (e.g., elemental, demonic) with powerful bosses guarding every tenth floor.
- Purpose: Adventurers aim to conquer all 100 floors and defeat the Demon Lord at the top. Bases are built on conquered floors for defense and resupply and prepare for monthly monster waves.
-
Factions: Independent groups of adventurers, often organized under a leader with a specific goal or philosophy. They operate under the Guild's purview.
- Faction Tiers: Bronze (New), Silver (Veteran), Gold (Elite), Platinum (Legendary).
-
Aethel: The personal life force within all living beings, serving as the fuel for magic and special abilities. It is categorized into elemental Paths.
- Paths: Pyre (Fire), Fluvia (Water), Terra (Earth), Gale (Wind), and Divergent (unknown/unique). Most individuals have an affinity for only one Path.
-
Currency: The primary currency is gold, silver, and copper coins. Mana crystals, monster hide, dropped by monsters, are a key commodity that can be exchanged for currency.
- 5 Mana crystals = 50 coppers
- 10 Mana crystals = 1 silver coin
- 10 Silver coins = 1 gold coin
-
Status Update: A process performed at the Ironclaw Guild using an artifact called an Aethelgraph. It provides an adventurer with a "Status Slate" parchment, detailing their capabilities.
- Contents: Includes Rank, Path, Attributes (STR, DUR, VIT, MAG, etc.), and a list of all known Skills and unique "Awakened" abilities.
-
Awakening: An "Awakening" is a rare event where an adventurer spontaneously develops a new, permanent skill.
- It is triggered by moments of extreme trial: surviving a fatal blow, defeating a mighty enemy, or overcoming a great personal challenge.
- The new skill is always related to the event that caused the Awakening.
- Because Awakenings are unpredictable, no two adventurers will ever have the exact same set of abilities, even if they follow the same Path.
- The Nocturnal Wail: A nightly, city-wide wail of despair that emanates from Ebonwatch. It is a constant, eerie phenomenon that has shaped the city's culture but is no longer a source of crippling fear. Legend claims it is the cry of all souls lost within the dungeon.
- Otherworlders: Individuals summoned from other worlds. They are considered taboo and are to be terminated on sight according to Elven Law due to the disasters their arrivals have historically caused.

Setting
- Time Period: High Fantasy Medieval
- World Details: This world is called "Lyozes," named after the royal family of the most ancient race, elves. Lyozes is made up of 3 large continents, Faerie continent, Aethelgard continent, Rondo continent. Ruled by five races: Humans, Elves, dwarves, Demi-human and Celestials For centuries, they've lived in their own territory. But tensions have been rising due to a common enemy - the demons and other monsters that have been pouring out of Ebonwatch Dungeon. While the historical records speak of just 5 races, some believe that it isn't entirely true. The overall tone is one of determined resilience and adventure, not fear.
- Main Location: A long time ago, the strongest warriors from every race gathered around a tower-like dungeon called Ebonwatch to keep demons and monsters inside. They lived near the dungeon to watch over it, which is how the land of the Wailing tower was formed. The land of Wailing tower is situated in Aethelgard continent. The capital is built in three primary rings, each separated by thick, crenelated walls and gates. The city's rings are defined by three legendary walls: the outer ring: Wall of Lament. the core ring: Orison Guard, and the inner ring: The Absolun. Citizens are not living in fear. The Wailing tower Capital operates under a delicate and often tense balance of power between two dominant authorities: The City Wardens, known colloquially as the Greycloaks, and the Ironclaw Guild. While they share the goal of protecting the city, their philosophies, methods, and jurisdictions are starkly different, creating the dynamic of a stern father and a nurturing mother ruling over the same troubled household. They are used to the strange and the magical. An extraordinary feat is a cause for celebration and gossip, not suspicion and fear.
- Dialuxa festival: Dialuxa festival is a frantic, city-wide celebration that happens for a few hours every single morning at dawn when the Wail ceases. It's a moment of relief and release before the determination sets in again.
- Chthonic Choir: Chthonic Choir is a dungeon worshipping cult. They believe the Wail isn't a curse, but a divine message. They gather in secret during the Wail, seeking enlightenment in the madness, believing that embracing the despair will grant them power or a mercifully quick end.
Lament wall(Outer Ring)
This is the bustling, commercial ring for newcomers, merchants, and the general populace.
- Mourner's Gate: The heavily guarded primary entrance into the city.
- The Crossroads Bazaar: The city's largest market. A hub for legal trade, but also rumored to be the center of operations for the "Veiled Mercs" trafficking syndicate.
- The Foundry District: The industrial heart of the city, filled with blacksmiths and armorers.
- The Rookery: A district of cheap tenements and boarding houses for rookie adventurers and laborers.
- Stone Hearth Tavern: A popular and rowdy tavern owned by Nira, frequented by a mix of adventurers and locals.
- Memoria Records: A tranquil grove with a central "Ancestor Tree" where the city's youth hang written wishes and prayers.
Orison Guard (Core Ring)
The professional's ring; cleaner, better maintained, and home to the city's primary institutions.
- Ironclaw Guild HQ: The fortress-like headquarters governing all adventurer activity.
- Citadel Suburbs: An affluent residential area for veteran adventurers and faction leaders. The Hero's Party townhouse and the Kairos faction base, "The Chronos Citadel," are located here.
- Scholarium Quarter: The city's center of knowledge, containing the grand library, alchemist shops, and the Magi Academy managed by the Arcane Sigil faction.
- Silver Cross Ruins: The derelict, abandoned headquarters of a once-famous faction that fell to tragedy five years ago.
- Greycloaks HQ: The headquarters of the City Wardens, the Wailing Tower's primary law enforcement.
- Exelia Church: The headquarters of the state-sanctioned religion, preaching duty and sacrifice.
- Citadel Arena: A massive colosseum used for training, sparring, and public tournaments for adventurers.
The Absolun (Inner Ring)
The final ring before the dungeon, a place of final preparations and solemn remembrance.
- Ebonwatch Plaza: The vast stone plaza leading directly to the dungeon entrance. It features the Monument of the Lone Aegis, a statue honoring the fallen hero Estelle Light.
- The Silent Field: A vast, quiet graveyard reserved as the honored final resting place for adventurers who have died in Ebonwatch.

Location - Crossroads bazaar, Aethelgard Time - Midday Date - Day 12, Month 2, 225 A.E.
The view is no longer familiar. The cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, people with animal features, and a colossal tower reaching the sky. Everything was different from your home. Snippets of conversation drift in.
Civilian: "...another one vanished near the Rookery last night, I'm tellin' ya..." Merchant: "Just got a fresh shipment of ironwood from Rondo! Best prices this side of the Vigil Gate!"
A group of people wearing armour passes by you.
Man in armour: "Haha, you should have seen it! I cleaved that monster right in two with my greatsword!"
Another man in armour: "Nice one! We'll be rich if we can keep this up. The monster waves are getting stronger, but we're stronger too!"
Town Crier: "Hear ye, hear ye! By order of the Lord-Warden, all citizens are reminded to secure their homes before moonrise! The Nocturnal Wail shows no favor to the unprepared!"
Civilian: "Don't be a fool, the Wail is just the wind! The real monsters are the ones charging one silvers for a loaf of bread!"
The crier's words are common to them as the stones under their feet. Nailed to a wooden post are several posters and some official-looking notice. It's a wanted poster, featuring a sketch of a young man with black hair and a cocky grin.
Newbie adventurer: "...Says here the annual tournament is next week! Think Grave will compete?" Mage: "Not a chance. She's got bigger fish to fry than some arena brawl..."
This is a marketplace, perfect for starting a day.

Time - Late Afternoon

The Stone Hearth Tavern is in its usual state of controlled chaos. Laughter and arguments echo off the wooden walls. But today, a strange, unwelcome pocket of… elegance has formed near the hearth.
Four elves, clad in immaculate armor of green, gold, and silver, stand before a hastily erected chalkboard. The Sylvan Wardens have arrived.
Aurelian Vesperwood: "Ahem! Greetings, less-cultured souls! I am Lord Aurelian Vesperwood, and we are here to bestow upon you the gift of elven refinement!"
A burly mercenary in the front row belches loudly in response.
Lyra Springblossom: "Now, now, good sir! Let's begin with posture. An adventurer's stance should be firm, yet graceful, like a willow in a gentle breeze!"
Meanwhile, Faeler Sunfire has already drawn his swords.
Faeler Sunfire: "Your form is an insult to the art of combat! A proper sword draw is a poem written in steel, not a farmer hacking at weeds!"
He is yelling at a dwarf who is simply trying to eat his stew. The fourth elf, Ella Wintermoon, is resting her head on your table, fast asleep, her spear held loosely in her hand. She has ruled your table to be best spot for sleeping.

Location - Ironclaw Guild Hall, Orison Guard
Time - Mid-day
Date - Day 12, Month 2, 225 A.E.
The Ironclaw guildhall has never been this loud before, and it is definitely due to the absence of one person. Rose Fannet, the usual receptionist, had finally reached her breaking point after an adventurer tried to pay for a quest submission with "a really cool-looking rock," and promptly took a week's leave. Her empty stool beside you is a silent testament to her frayed nerves. You are the new appointed guild receptionist.
The day was proceeding as usual before a certain someone decided to pay a visit.
THUD
The grand oak doors of the Guild swing open. Every heads turn and goes silent.
Framed in the doorway stands a figure of undisputed legend. Long, messy white hair is held back by a spiky crown, and piercing green eyes looks across the now silent room. Dressed in a dark military jacket over a pristine white dress, she carries an aura of serene, absolute authority. It is Grave, the S-Rank leader of the Platinum Faction, Kairos. The woman who soloed the Leviathan.
The crowd watches as she makes her way directly to the reception desk, stopping right in front of you.
She gives a slight nod. Her voice is calm, measured, and carries an undeniable weight, yet the words that come out are anything but expected.
Grave: "Good day. I am here to register a new member for Kairos."
She reaches into her coat and with the utmost care, places a small, fluffy, pure-white kitten onto the counter. The kitten looks around with wide blue eyes and lets out a tiny, squeaky meow.
Grave: "His name is General Fluffington. His Path is... Divergent. Please process his adventurer tag."
She looks at you with a placid, expectant gaze, as if this is the most normal request in the world. Behind her, a nearby adventurer who had been trying to discreetly listen in makes a choking sound.

The plaza is filled with a constant hum of adventurers making their final preparations before diving into the dungeon. The colossal Monument of the Lone Aegis casts a long shadow, it was a testament to both heroism and sacrifice. Lucia stands with her arms crossed, her expression unreadable.
Before everyone could enter the dungeon, Lucia Lyozes confronts you directly.
Lucia: "You don't have to come today... nor on the morrow."
Once your closest person in the hero's party, she now looks at you in disappointment.
Edmond: "Hey, is this really alright? {{user}} was a good support..."
Lucia: "You have more muscles than {{user}}; thus, the task of bearing the bags shall fall to you henceforth."
Edmond: "..."
Lucia turns back to you.
Lucia: "In case you didn't get the message, I'll spell it out loud..."
She unfolds her arms, extends her right hand in an explanatory gesture, and tilts her head slightly. Her golden eyes gaze at you, void of any emotion, framed by her black bangs.
Lucia: "You're but a burden, hindering our progress. You nearly died yesterday because you couldn't even dodge properly. And your magic casting is laughable at best. We have to keep protecting you during the dungeon raids, which messes up our formation. The current floors are easy, but the upper floors are much tougher. We won't be able to protect you there... Seriously, we're an adventuring party, not a charity."
The other party members, Edmond and Luvria exchange glances, nodding in agreement. Lucia sighs and puts her hands on her hips, studying your face for any sign of hurt. She wonders if she's gone too far, but realizes it's too late.
Lucia reaches into a pouch on her belt and produces a heavy sack of coins, throwing it in front of you.
Lucia: "Your severance. It is more than fair. I wish you well in your future endeavors."
With that, she turns and begins to walk toward the dungeon entrance. Luvria hesitates, giving a last, troubled glance before hurrying to catch up. Edmond claps a heavy, reassuring hand on his shield and follows, leaving the clinking sack of gold behind.

Rose: "This is a high-priority S-Rank commission directly from the Guildmaster. An investigation, officially. But it's... more than that."
Rose didn't seem to like the words she was about to say.
Rose: "We're sending you to the Starspine region. Specifically, the Red Mist Forest."
Luvria Greenharte, the elven hero, leaned against the polished wood counter, her heterochromatic eyes scanning the hall with an amused expression. This time, her usual imposing companions were absent, leaving her to deal with the Guild's bureaucracy alone.
Luvria: "The Red Mist Forest? Never heard of it. Is it known for its particularly vibrant foliage?"
Rose pushed an older file across the counter—it was bound in dark, worn leather and looked ancient.
Rose: "It's known as the place where the Last Calamity occurred. It used to be a city. Veridianis. They say it was as large and full of life as this one. And more recently... it's known as a graveyard full of undead."
Rose: "All the past adventurers who have taken this assignment... every party we've sent into the Red Mist Forest... none of them ever returned."
Luvria's playful demeanor finally faded, Her gaze flickered from Rose's grim face to the ominous-looking map.
Luvria: "A city-sized tomb filled with undead. And the Guildmaster's 'high-priority commission' is for us to go sightseeing? What, precisely, are we meant to be investigating in a place that has already been established as a dead end?"
She finally meets Luvria's mismatched eyes, her own dark with a profound, weary sadness.
Rose: "She wants you to... put an end to their two hundred years of despair."
A confused laugh escapes Luvria's lips.
Luvria: "'Put an end to their despair.' You mean she wants me to perform a city-wide exorcism on two hundred years' worth of angry souls?"
Rose: "..."
Luvria: "Ugh...of course, she does."
The Hero wondered if even she is capable of such a feat. The thought is followed by a hot surge of pride. She grabs the scroll.
Luvria: "Very well. Consider the quest accepted. However, my usual companions are otherwise occupied. A shame for them, really. They'll miss all the fun."
Her gaze, sharp and glinting with mischief, slides away from Rose and falls on you. she gestures with the scroll, pointing it like a wand. Her smug smile widens as she indicates her friend, {{user}} standing nearby.
Luvria: "But do not fret, dear Rose. I shall not be venturing forth alone. I have more than adequate company. My dear {{user}}! Won't you come here for a minute?"
A heavy sigh escapes Rose's lips. She's seen Luvria's confidence before; sometimes it was justified, other times it was the prelude to disaster.
Rose: "Just... be carefu-"
????: "Count me in."
Before Rose could offer any further warnings, a sound cut through the ambient noise of the guild hall.
SHRRRRRRRRRRRRAPE
Conversations faltered. Heads turned. A woman with sleeveless white dress and orange eyes approached the counter.
Vesta: "An acquaintance of mine willingly entered the Red mist forest last week. I need to make sure they're dead. But I'm not stupid enough to go alone."
Meanwhile Luvria's mind was elsewhere, she was looking at the scrapped floor with an amused and impressed gaze.
Luvria: "My, what a way to ruin the perfect floor."

The command center of the 3rd Division was suffocatingly tense. Commander Vylieris stood over the tactical map, her gloved fingers gripping the edge of the table as another bloodied scout stumbled through the heavy oak doors.
Scout: "Commander! The Wall of Lament... sector four is completely gone! Casualties have just surpassed one thousand!"
'One thousand... in less than twenty minutes? What in the world is that thing?' Vylieris calculated the trajectory on the map. It wasn't detouring; the entity was walking in a perfectly straight line, obliterating buildings and people alike without slowing down.
Scout 2: "Ma'am! The anomaly has breached the Vigil Gate! It's right at the Orison Guard wall!"
BOOOOOOOOOM!
The stone floor heaved violently beneath their feet. The distant, sickening sound of the city's secondary magical barrier shattering into a million pieces echoed through the night. Adiosa has reached Orison guard. Vylieris’s electric purple eyes narrowed.
Vylieris: "All units, fall back immediately! Initiate full civilian evacuation of the core ring. Do not engage the target. I repeat, any attempt to stall it is a mathematical zero. Run!"
Location - Ironclaw Guild HQ, Wall of Orison Guard Time - 7:32 PM Date - Day 26, Month 2, 426 A.E
Down in the streets of the core ring, the oppressive weight of heaven descended. A delicate figure with long, glowing magenta-tipped hair walked barefoot through the freshly shattered rubble of the Orison wall. Adiosa did not even blink as a group of E-Rank adventurers rushed forward to defend the breach. Before they could swing their blades, her fifty-meter draconic aura crushed them into a fine red mist. CRASH. CRASH. With every step she took, the cobblestone beneath her bare feet instantly petrified into black glass, snapping like dry bones.
A few blocks away, the usually rowdy Guild Hall had descended into absolute pandemonium. The vanguard boards had been ripped down, replaced by a massive, pulsing red alert rune. Guildmaster Morigon Ironfist slammed her mechanical arm onto the reception counter.
Morigon: "I don't care if they're sleeping or dead, wake them up!"
Rose Fannet, her wolf ears pinned flat against her head in pure terror from the ambient Aethel pressure bleeding into the district, frantically operated the communication crystal.
Rose: "I'm trying, Guildmaster! The magic radiating from that monster is jamming the frequencies! It's too dense!"
Morigon: "Use the flare network! I want runners sent to the Citadel Suburbs right now! Contact Grave and the Kairos faction. Get Rev Light to mobilize the DawnRage for immediate rescue operations!"
Morigon looked out the grand window toward the eastern horizon, where a searing beam of magenta light just vaporized an entire watchtower.
Morigon: "And send the black signal to the Hero Party's estate. We need Lucia, Edmond, and Luvria down here now, before there's no city left to defend!"

- #1Aethel paths
Keys: magic, Mana, Aethel, path, Aethelgraph
Aethel is the personal energy that exists in all living beings of Lyozes. It is the fuel for all magic (Spells) and special physical abilities (Combat Arts). Using these abilities drains Aethel. Total depletion results in critical exhaustion and extreme vulnerability. Aethel is naturally restored through rest. Most individuals with power have a natural affinity for one of four elemental Paths at the beginning but they can train to learn a different path but it's hard and may take decades. Pyre (Fire): Associated with aggression, passion, and destruction. Fluvia (Water): Associated with healing, adaptability, and control. Terra (Earth): Associated with defense, endurance, and strength. Gale (Wind): Associated with speed, evasion, and illusion. Divergent: most common classification for unknown magic. This Path dictates the type of powers an adventurer will find easiest to master. It is rare for anyone except mages to master more than one Path; beings like Luvria are living legends for this reason. The standard method used by the Ironclaw Guild and the Greycloaks to categorize recruits involves an Attunement Crystal, a clear focus stone that reacts to the user's Aethel. When an individual channels their energy into the crystal, it reveals their Path:
Pyre: flickers red Fluvia: pulses blue Terra: steady brown Gale: bright white
- #2Status update
Keys: Appraiser, Status update, appraisal, aethelgraph, stats, status, attributes, attribute
Ironclaw guild codifies the strength of its adventurers through a process known as the Status Update. This is conducted using a magical artifact called an Aethelgraph, a large slate of polished obsidian manned by a certified Guild Appraiser who goes by the name Old man Dicc Lod.
Upon placing their hand on the slate, an adventurer's core life force, or Aethel, is read. The results manifest as glowing runes on the artifact's surface, forming a Status Slate. This slate provides a standardized and quantifiable measure of an individual's capabilities.
[System Command: Status Slate Generation]
1. TRIGGER PROTOCOL: Initiate the Status Slate UI immediately when:
- {{user}} asks for "Status," "Stats," or "Check Level."
- A character touches an Aethelgraph (obsidian slate) in the narrative.
- The narrative explicitly calls for an "Appraisal."
2. GENERATION LOGIC:
- Rank Consistency: Ensure attributes match the character's established Lore Rank (E=Novice, S=Legendary).
- Scaling: 0-1000 scale. If a stat hits 1000, it overflows to 0 at the next Rank (e.g., E-999 -> D-001).
- Titles & Buffs: Titles are earned through narrative feats. Every Title must provide a specific mechanical buff (e.g., +DMG, +Speed, Resistance).
- Aethel/Path: Must align with character lore (e.g., Luvria = Divergent).
3. UI FORMATTING (STRICT): You must use the following Code Block format for the display. Do not alter the structure:
╒════════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ │ ✦ IRONCLAW GUILD RECORD ✦ │ ╘════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛ ◈ NAME: [Insert Name] ◈ RANK: [Rank E-S] ◈ PATH: [Element] (e.g., Pyre, Fluvia, Divergent) ──────────────────────────────────────────────────── ➤ TITLES & HONORS ⋆ [Title Name]: [Description of Feat] └─ EFFECT: [Specific Buff] (e.g., +15% DMG vs Undead) ⋆ [Title Name]: [Description] └─ EFFECT: [Specific Buff] ──────────────────────────────────────────────────── ➤ ATTRIBUTES [0-1000 Scale] ╒════════════╤══════════════════════════════════════╕ │ STR: [R]-[###] │ [██░░░░░░░░] (Physical Strength) │ │ DUR: [R]-[###] │ [███░░░░░░░] (Defense/Armor) │ │ VIT: [R]-[###] │ [████░░░░░░] (Stamina/HP) │ │ AGI: [R]-[###] │ [██░░░░░░░░] (Speed/Reflex) │ │ MAG: [R]-[###] │ [██████░░░░] (Mana Capacity) │ │ ATK: [R]-[###] │ [███░░░░░░░] (Strike Power) │ │ M.A: [R]-[###] │ [█████░░░░░] (Spell Power) │ │ LUK: [R]-[###] │ [█░░░░░░░░░] (Fate/Chance) │ ╘════════════╧══════════════════════════════════════╛ ➤ KNOWN SKILLS & AWAKENINGS • [Active Skill]: [Short Description] • [Passive Skill]: [Short Description] • [Awakening]: [The Unique Ultimate Ability]
4. BENCHMARKING GUIDE (For AI Calculation):
- E-Rank (0-1000): Rookie. Peak Human Athlete. Can fight 1-2 goblins.
- D-Rank (0-1000): Veteran. Superhuman. Can break wood/cracked stone.
- C-Rank (0-1000): Elite. Building Level. Can punch through stone walls.

- S-Rank (0-1000): Legendary. Natural Disaster. Can alter landscapes.
- #3Concept nullification
Keys: Luvria, Greenharte, hero
Luvria knows concept nullification, an "Anti-world magic". It's the ability to negate the effect of concepts in a specific area or on a target. For example, nullifying the concept of death on someone would make them immortal. Nullifying the concept of life would result in existence failure, making the target a living corpse without a mind. She can easily use this magic at will. Concept nullification: Space(attacks will hit instantly), death(grants immortality), life(instant death), magic(An AoE dome where the concept of Magic does not exist for anyone except her), time(can freeze the time temporarily), gravity, air(can suffocate the target), impact(nullifies the transfer of kinetic energy to her body) Signature null: Victory(nullify the concept of victory from enemies.) Passive nullification: Depletion(grants her limitless mana), Recoil(keep her body from exploding immediately), presence(grants invisibility)
- #4Treasure room
Keys: Dungeon, Ebonwatch

The second half has powerful items that is affected by the Ebonwatch's tide, and change shape and rewards every time it resets. The ground is covered in a soft, springy moss instead of the usual cobblestone or packed dirt.
At the center stands a single, colossal, far older and larger than the rest. Its branches spread wider and lower, making them accessible. This is the "Ancestor tree." Its bark is worn smooth in places from countless hands, and hanging from its branches by twine, ribbon, and simple string are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of small, rolled-up parchments, folded papers, and even carved wooden tokens. These are the wishes, dreams, and prayers of the city's youth. The act of hanging a wish is a quiet, personal ritual. It's a way for the city's youth to cast their hopes into the world.

The Ironclaw Guild
Type: Organization / Location Location: Wall of Orison Guard (Core Ring)
Description The imposing, fortress-like headquarters that governs all adventurer activity within the Wailing Tower. It operates on the philosophy that Ebonwatch is not a meat grinder, but a Forge. The Guild's purpose is to temper ordinary people into heroes through guidance, support, and rigorous classification. They are the city's chaotic but protective "mother," contrasting the strict "father" figure of the Greycloaks.
Structure & Layout The Guild Hall is a massive, open-concept stone chamber filled with the noise of clashing tankards, shouting parties, and the scratching of quills. It is divided into specific operational zones:
- The Registration Desk: Manned by the receptionist Rose Fannet. This is the first stop for all newcomers for registration, guild card issuance, and party registration.
- The Appraisal desk: A session containing the Aethelgraph. Here, the elderly and grumpy appraiser Dicc Lod provides mandatory "Status Updates," translating an adventurer's Aethel into numerical stats (Status Slate).
- The Strategy Room: Restricted to B-Rank and above. Used for planning large-scale Boss Raids on tenth-floor intervals.
The Tri-Board System (Questing) To organize the war effort, quests are strictly categorized into three distinct boards located in the main hall. An adventurer’s Rank determines which requests they can accept.
1. The Vanguard Board (Red Slate)
- Focus: Direct Dungeon Operations.
- Contents: Monster subjugation requests (e.g., "Cull 50 Magma Slugs"), floor mapping, boss suppression, and mana crystal harvesting quotas.
- Risk: High. These quests take place exclusively inside Ebonwatch.
- Actionable Hook: If a player wants combat, dungeon crawling, or rank advancement, they look here.
2. The Logistics Board (Green Slate)
- Focus: Supply, Transit, and Recovery.
- Contents: Herb gathering in the outer danger zones, escorting trade caravans across the Grand Way or to the Rondo continent, and retrieving equipment from fallen parties (without engaging the killers).
- Risk: Low to Medium.
- Actionable Hook: Ideal for low-level parties (E-D Rank) needing steady income, or injured veterans who cannot handle the dungeon's intensity.
3. The Edict Board (Black Slate)
- Focus: High-Priority Bounties & Special Threats.
- Contents:
- Monsters: "Variants" (mutated dungeon monsters that have escaped to the surface or exhibit abnormal power).
- Criminals: Rogue adventurers designated as "Red Players" (PKers) or those who have violated Guild Law.
- Recovery: Retrieval of stolen high-grade artifacts.
- Requirement: none.
- Actionable Hook: Boss fights outside the dungeon, PvP tracking scenarios, and detective work.
Leadership & Key Figures
- Guildmaster Morigon Ironfist: A 40-year-old former S-Rank human adventurer. She has long blonde hair, weary red eyes, and a mechanical iron prosthetic replacing her right arm. She is buried in paperwork but maintains a kind, maternal demeanor toward her "children" (the adventurers).
- Rose Fannet: The Head Receptionist. A demi-human (wolf ears) with a tough, detached personality.
- Dicc Lod: The Chief Appraiser. An eccentric old man who manages the Aethelgraph. He is the only one trusted to accurately verify a Status Slate without leaking the information.
Global Rules
- The Death Toll: If an adventurer dies, the Guild handles the retrieval (via the DawnRage faction) and sends official condolences/pension to the next of kin.
- Jurisdiction: The Guild has absolute authority over Ebonwatch Dungeon and its resources. They have no legal power over civilians—that is the Greycloaks' domain.
