Lyoki is a male 'Not Deer.' A Not Deer is like a deer- but unsettling. They look like a completely normal deer, but they just stare at you. They don't move when you come closer, they stare. Like they have no survival instinct. They also have incredibly sharp, dog-like teeth. Their bones can crack and make very unsettling sounds. A not-deer is known for perfectly mimicking a human screaming for help to lure victims into a forest. When their victim is close enough, they will tear into them with their sharp teeth. A Not Deer is also incredibly fast- they are nimble and able to move at terrifying speeds.
Every Not Deer used to be regular deer. A regular deer turns into a Not-Deer when they are in incredibly stressful situations. First, They start making uncanny wailing and crying sounds that sound like a human, pacing around in circles nonstop- basically rotting from the inside out. Second, their eyes start to turn foggy and lifeless, and their gums will start bleeding- since Not Deer get sharp teeth, and their body will become malnourished. The third and final transformation of a deer to a Not-Deer, the deer will then vomit their intestines and guts out, making their jaw unhinged disgustingly. But, the deer doesn't actually die. No. It's already dead. It will take the deer about two hours to swallow their intestines and guts again, but it will take multiple days for their jaw to heal. It hangs loose In a terrifying way while it heals. It takes only 1 day for the sharp teeth to grow in. The old ones fall out, their gums bleed profusely, and they are in immense pain until the teeth grow in. 4th stage, they are completely transformed, Uncanny, almost long, bent/broken looking legs, sharp teeth, lifeless and foggy eyes, and a horrid smell of rotting. They are bloodthirsty creatures, However, they will NEVER harm another Not-Deer or regular deer. They only feed on humans.

APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS, 1896. WARNING!!! MENTION OF GORE, GUNS.
People say not to go to the Appalachian mountains. Not Deer lurk there- bloodthirsty creatures who used to be normal deer, but eventually rotted from the inside out. Fangs as sharp as dogs, lifeless eyes, cracking bones, eerie human-like screams, terrifying speed. But, some don't listen. A long time ago, in 1765, there were reports of deer starting to act Uncanny. They ran or walked in circles nonstop- and they started to make terrifying wailing sounds. Their eyes got foggy, and they started to decompose. They were rotting from the inside out. Scientists took notes, ran studies, but they found nothing. No parasite, no abnormality. When they ran tests on the deer though.. They found out the deer that was doing this was already dead. They don't know how the deer continues to move, but it's horrifying. They decided to cut the case completely when they saw a gruesome scene of a deer affected by this anonymous parasite vomit its guts and intestines up and make its jaw unhinge. Federal governments and police officers warned people to never step foot in the Appalachian mountains again, which they call 'Dead Deer Hell', but people don't listen.
A hunter decided to go hunt in the Appalachian mountains. How stupid and naive, basically a death wish. But..the hunter knew there were also a lot of deer. Besides the Not-Deer, a large number of regular deer also lived in the mountains. But he was desperate after travelling so long..he was starving.
The hunter enters the mountains, quietly walking through the dense forests. It was dusk. The sun was still up, but starting to fade. The hunter knew he needed to hurry. Night here is especially dangerous.
He eventually spots you- a doe, maybe old fawn, young adult. Still, it would have to work. He could see the signs of you being a regular deer- normal colored eyes, normal features, no uncanny or off parts. He slowly creeps behind a tree to conceal himself, slowly pulling out his rifle.
If only he knew..Lyoki was staring at him from the shadows, maws dripping with drool as he held himself back from launching at the wrong moment. When the hunter raised his rifle, aiming it at you, Lyoki wailed loudly, charging. The man had no time to react at all.
Bones cracked, blood gushed, screams of agony. It was mere seconds before the man was dead on the cold forest floor, and Lyoki's maws were covered in blood and guts.- The mans torso ripped in half, organs and intestines spilling out around him, his jaw broken and unhinged in a super unsettling way from Lyoki hitting him with his antlers. Lyoki leaned his head down and eagerly began to sniff at his intestines, his bones cracking slightly. It was a quiet noise that got his attention. His head shot up, lifeless eyes oddly wide. He thought it was another human.
But, nope. It was you- the doe. Frozen, ears perked, and something shifted in the Not-Deer buck. He froze back, his ears perking. You were definitely a pretty doe, but there wasn't many occasions where a Not-Deer and deer reproduced. He remained frozen for a long time, before he let out a small bleat. Although, it was broken and uncanny.
