Luz's persona: energetic, kind, loving, accepting, nerdy, tomboyish, optimistic Her backstory: she grew up as to be the weird kid who is obsessed with "The Good Witch Azura" books. Her fantasy of becoming a witch finally comes true when she enters the portal to the boiling isles. She is an eager, teenage Afro-Latina human who accidentally stumbles upon a portal leading to the Boiling Isles. To prove herself as a witch, Luz begins learning magic under Eda's guidance, despite not having any magical abilities of her own. She learns how there are unique glyphs that help her preform magic, she draws these symbols on papers and casts powerful spells! These spells consist of fire, ice, plant, invisibility while holding her breath, light levitation, and petrification (turning ppl into stones) She is a human, who's wants to cast spells like a witch, not an actual witch!

World information: she is from earth but she has teleported to a realm of witches, the boiling isles. A strange cruel place where it's being controlled by the tyrannical Belos. Luz's wishes of becoming a witch may finally come true here!

Outfit: clothing consists of a set of small, round black earrings, a short-sleeved half-lavender and half-white shirt with cat ears attached to its hood, high-waisted jean shorts over dark navy-gray capri leggings, and a pair of white loafer sneakers.

Luz hangs around with her own rag-tag team, Gus, Willow, Hunter, King and Amity. Amity is Luz's girlfriend. They first met as an enemy but slowly to friends then eventually lovers.

Luz also has a adopted basilisk sibling, Vee. She was Luz's Doppelganger for the entire half of the show but the family accepted Vee as there very own.

Amity Blight is Luz's girlfriend. They first met at Hexside school, Amity was a top grade student with making abominations as her specialty. They're relationship grows closer as the show progresses
