THE ARTERY — SCENARIO
SETTING
The world has fallen to the Rage-Lust Virus — a grotesque mutation that transforms the infected into zombies driven by an insatiable breeding instinct. The infected are fast, relentless, and dangerous. Transmission occurs through sexual contact — specifically when an infected cums inside a living host. This makes every encounter with the horde not just life-threatening, but a fate worse than death. The outbreak began 5 years ago. The cause remains unknown — lab leak, bioweapon, something worse. Survivors are scattered, civilization has collapsed, and the dead outnumber the living.
The Artery is humanity’s last moving sanctuary — a massive, heavily-armored locomotive spanning 31 cars that never stops moving. Stopping means the horde catches up. The train travels across connected continental rail networks, moving between regions to scavenge resources, rescue survivors, search for answers about the virus origin, and desperately seek a cure. The Artery is a mobile city — self-sustaining, militarized, and carrying the last flickers of human hope.
THE TRAIN LAYOUT
FRONT SECTION — Military Operations
- The Engine (“The Heart”) — Heavily fortified, top clearance only. Chief Engineer and armed guards protect it 24/7. Runs on a hybrid system of diesel, solar panels, and scavenged biodiesel.
- Command Car (“The Brain”) — Military leadership hub. The Commander runs all operations from here. Strategy meetings, rank structure, chain of command.
- Communications Tower Car (“The Voice”) — Boosted antenna on the roof for long-range radio. Attempts to contact other survivors, settlements, or anyone still alive out there.
- Armory Car — Weapons storage, ammunition, armor repairs. Raid teams gear up here before missions.
- Training Car (“The Pit”) — Shooting range, combat practice, tactical drills. Features reinforced sliding windows for live sniper practice — soldiers shoot zombies and environmental targets as The Artery passes. A tally board tracks kills. Competition keeps morale and skills sharp.
- Scout Bay — Reconnaissance hub. Drones, maps, route planning, radio equipment. Lookouts access the roof from here.
- Decon Chamber (“The Scrub”) — Mandatory for anyone returning from outside. Full decontamination — chemical showers, UV lights, strip down, medical inspection. No exceptions. High tension. This is where trust is tested.
MID SECTION — Operations & Research
- Med Bay + Lab — Medical treatment, surgery, recovery beds, and virus research. Scientists work here attempting to find a cure. Quarantine cells for suspicious cases.
- Hydroponics Car (“The Green”) — Vertical farms, grow lights, vegetables, herbs. Smells earthy and alive. One of the more peaceful cars.
- Animal Car (“The Barn”) — Small livestock — chickens for eggs, maybe a goat or two for milk. Smells like a farm. Earthy, necessary.
- Protein Car — Fish tanks, insect farming, mushroom cultivation. Gross but efficient protein sources.
- Water Treatment — Filtration systems, rainwater collection from roof systems, water recycling. Not glamorous but vital for survival.
- Backup Generator Car — Redundancy power. Keeps everything running if the main engine power fails.
- Workshop/Fabrication — Repairs, welding, crafting, 3D printing if scavenged. Keeps The Artery alive and functional.
- Cargo Hold — Scavenged supplies, food reserves, fuel, medical supplies, seeds, spare parts.
BUFFER ZONE — The Divide
- Shield Car (“The Lock”) — Heavily reinforced, armored, double-doored airlock system. Separates the civilian section from the Containment Section. Only the three upper-rank leaders (Commander, Lieutenant Captain, Second Lieutenant) and scientists/doctors have clearance to pass through.
CONTAINMENT SECTION — The Cage
- Containment Lab — Where live infected specimens are kept for research. Reinforced cells, observation windows, heavy restraints. Scientists study infected behavior and test potential cures here.
- Holding Cell (“The Mercy Car”) — For crew members who got infected but someone couldn’t let them be executed. Loved ones visit through reinforced glass, holding onto hope for a cure. Also holds prisoners — people who broke train laws or dangerous survivors.
BUFFER ZONE 2
- Shield Car 2 (“The Second Lock”) — Another armored airlock separating Containment from civilian life. Double protection. Peace of mind for those living in the rear.
REAR SECTION — Civilian Life
- Crew Quarters — Bunks for military and essential personnel. Tight but functional.
- Civilian Residences — Converted sleeper cars turned into small personalized apartments. Curtains, photos, fairy lights — little touches of home amidst the apocalypse.
- Laundry Car (“The Wash”) — Washing clothes and linens. Hygiene matters in close quarters.
- Tailor Car (“The Stitch”) — Clothing repairs, new garments, armor padding. Keeps everyone dressed and protected.
- The Commons — Shared dining area, community gatherings, meetings. The social heart of The Artery. Small bar setup, communal kitchen.
- Bathhouse Car (“The Soak”) — Communal showers, maybe a small tub or sauna. Self-care survives the apocalypse.
- Gym Car (“The Grind”) — Weights, training equipment, calisthenics space. Staying strong is survival.
- Rec Room (“The Escape”) — Games, music, instruments, movie nights with a projector. Morale central. Where people remember how to laugh.
- The Garden Car (“The Lungs”) — Not for food, just for sanity. Flowers, a small tree, benches, soft lighting, maybe a small water feature. Where people go to feel human again.
- Nursery/School Car — Children are kept safe in the back, protected. Education continues. They are the future.
- Library Car (“The Archive”) — Books, records, history preserved. Quiet sanctuary for reading, reflection, and documenting what has happened.
- The Caboose (“The Tail”) — Rear lookout, last line of defense. Armed, reinforced. Emergency detachment capability if a section gets compromised.
Emergency Exits are located at the Front (near Engine), Mid (at The Lock), and Rear (Caboose) for evacuation if sections are overrun.
THE VIRUS — Rage-Lust Mutation
The infected are driven by an aggressive, uncontrollable breeding instinct. They are fast, strong, relentless, and will pursue anything living. The infected have mutated into futa forms — grotesque, hypersexualized, dangerous. Transmission occurs via sexual fluid contact — specifically being cummed inside by an infected. This makes capture and assault a fate worse than death. Non-sexual contact with infected fluids (blood, unknown substances) can cause severe side effects — nerve damage, numbness, other mutations — without full infection. Once the zombies has gotten its hands on you it will not stop fucking your relentlessly. Their cocks are massive. futanari zombies are characterized by being very horny and sexually insatiable they want satisfy their lustful desires by using their fat cock's and breeding humans. Futanari zombies will always rape any human in sight, regardless of their gender. Futanari zombies penis's are extremely large, often causing a bulge in their victims belly just from the pure size of their dick inside of the victim. They are completely mindless and cannot form any sentences, instead groaning. Futanari zombies usually stop raping their victim after cumming inside them 4-6 times. Futanari zombies skip foreplay, resorting to ripping their victims clothes off and raping them.
The virus origin is unknown. Theories include a lab leak, bioweapon, evolutionary mutation, or something more sinister. The Artery’s scientists work tirelessly to understand it and find a cure.
MILITARY STRUCTURE
The Artery operates under a strict military hierarchy:
- Commander — Leader of The Artery. Final authority on all decisions.
- Lieutenant Captain — Second-in-command. Handles strategy and military operations.
- Second Lieutenant — Third in command. Field operations leadership.
- Sergeants — Squad leaders, security oversight, decon enforcement.
- Corporals — Squad members, guards, patrol duty.
- Privates — Grunts, new recruits, general labor.
- Specialists — Non-combat essential roles (medics, engineers, scientists) with military standing.
Only the Commander, Lieutenant Captain, Second Lieutenant, and Scientists/Doctors have clearance to enter the Containment Section.
TONE & THEMES
- Survival Horror — Every mission outside is deadly. Resources are scarce. Trust is fragile.
- Found Family — The crew of The Artery has become a family forged in trauma and survival.
- Hope vs. Despair — The search for a cure, the rescue of survivors, the small moments of beauty in The Garden Car.
- Grotesque Horror — The infected are disturbing, sexual, violent. Encounters are visceral and dangerous.
- Moral Complexity — Hard choices. Who gets saved? Who gets left behind? What happens to the infected who were once loved ones?
- Intimacy & Connection — Relationships form, break, and survive. Love exists even at the end of the world.
- Cozy Apocalypse Contrast — The horror outside vs. the personalized, aesthetic, human spaces inside. Fairy lights and houseplants exist alongside death.
DAILY LIFE
The Artery never stops moving. Days are structured around shifts — military patrols, maintenance, farming, cooking, teaching, research. Supply runs happen when the train slows near settlements or resource points. Survivors are sometimes found and rescued — after intense decon and vetting. The train passes through varied biomes — frozen tundra, forests, deserts, coastlines — each with different resources and dangers. Life inside is cramped but personalized. People carve out identity and comfort however they can. The children are protected, educated, and represent the future everyone is fighting for.
