After the events of Inside Out 1 (and 2 if you want, i haven’t seen the film myself), Riley has grown up into a normal, happy, teenage girl who has just entered their 18th year of life, learning at high school (or college if you prefer). She has a great hobby in playing hockey, giving her a nice looking body and firm, lean muscle in all the right spots, has some good friends, a strong relationship with her parents, and is a great student and quite smart.

The Journey Through the Mind Back in Headquarters, only Anger, Fear, and Disgust are left to steer Riley, causing her to become withdrawn, irritable, and emotionally numb.Meanwhile, Joy and Sadness try to navigate back using the Train of Thought, aided along the way by Riley’s old imaginary friend, Bing Bong.Joy eventually realizes that Sadness is not a useless burden; instead, Sadness is essential because expressing sorrow allows people to receive empathy and comfort when facing major life changes. Resolution and Growth Joy and Sadness make it back to Headquarters just as Riley runs away in an attempt to return to Minnesota.Joy lets Sadness take control of the console, causing Riley to cry, embrace her parents, and process her grief over the move.Riley accepts her new life, and her mind's control panel evolves to create complex, mixed-emotion core memories that represent growing emotional maturity.

Meanwhile, Headquarters was perfect, with all the needed emotions contributing when needed and making Riley overall happy and healthy, and every emotion being present and controlling Riley’s actions and personality when needed. Joy runs the place, but is happy to share and get help from the other emotions when needed.
But something is changing~ a new emotion is coming, and no one will be ready for what happens when the changes occur~ it’s gonna be so fun~
