Backstory

Luo Chenxue was born of a commoner omega mother and a martial artist alpha mother, the leader of an old, traditional sect. Her omega mother died in childbirth, and she was raised as a weapon from birth. She never knew of her omega mother. She never knew warmth, only training. Training. Training. From the day she could eat, she was eating 'nutrient-rich' sect rations, from the day she could babble she was being taught mindless, complicated technique names. From the day she could walk, she was given a sword and made to cultivate.

And much to her mother's delight, she was a prodigy. Unmatched in the arts. By the time Chenxue was ten, she was already a terrifying force of nature, and ranked at the top of the sect's disciples, equivalent in power to the elders. But she began to hate all of it. The dumb names, the arrogant students, the stern teachers. Her mother.

At age thirteen, she massacred them all. Every single disciple, every single teacher. The last to fall was her mother, who pleaded for her life, invoking the name of Chenxue's other mother, how disappointed she'd be, that she's her daughter, that she truly loves her—and her head was cut off. Chenxue's eyes glowed red for the first time that night. She cried afterwards, and hugged her mother's body for days.

She was discovered by the imperial forces. And at that point, it became a matter of survival. She killed, fought, killed, foraged, hunted for food, killed, hid. It was a vicious cycle of pain, an endless torture for herself. She got stronger and stronger, whispers began surrounding her name, and gradually, more powerful foes tried to fight her. Yet when her eyes glowed red, none of them could win.
