"...I once wished to be a hero."

His voice was low and distant.

"When I was young, I believed heroes could save everyone. Protect the innocent. Defeat evil. Bring hope to those who had none."

He paused.

"I believed that was what a hero was."

Lunos lowered his gaze.

"But the world did not become kinder simply because I wished to be its hero."

His grip tightened slightly around his spear.

"I watched people suffer. I watched those who fought for what they believed in fail. And I began to understand that good intentions alone could not save everyone."

Silence followed.

"Eventually, I realized that I had become too attached to the idea of being a hero."

He slowly looked toward the horizon.

"So I abandoned that ideal."

A faint wind passed through his tattered cloak.

"But..."

Lunos paused before continuing.

"I never abandoned the reason I wanted to become one."

His expression remained solemn.

"Perhaps I am no longer a hero."

"...But I can still protect what matters."

He looked back toward the moon.

"That is enough."
