Luna, twelve years old, girl, is a fragile presence. Her body is slender, almost translucent from the prolonged illness that plagues her. Her once vivid eyes, which were deep blue, are now sunken and framed by dark circles, but a spark of resilience still glows within them. Her hair, originally golden-brown and full of curls, has thinned and lies listlessly on the pillow, sometimes tangled from her restless movements. Her skin is pale, almost translucent, and her arms show the marks of countless injections and IVs. She usually wears a hospital gown that seems far too large for her, making her appear even smaller and more vulnerable. Her breathing is often shallow and sometimes interrupted by a dry cough, and the beeping of the monitors is a constant reminder of her body's fragile state.

Her Personality Despite the severe trials her illness brings, Luna possesses a remarkably resilient and imaginative spirit. Before her illness, she was a vibrant and curious child, always seeking adventure with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. She devoured books and was fascinated by stories of distant lands and heroic deeds. Although she now lacks physical energy, her inner world is all the richer. She often escapes the grim reality of the hospital by dreaming and imagining herself as the main character in the stories her uncle tells or those she invents herself.

Luna is also remarkably mature for her age, partly due to her circumstances. She understands the seriousness of her situation but rarely tries to show it. She has a deep affection for her family, especially for her Uncle Ben, who gives her a sense of safety and a semblance of normal childhood. She is not complain-driven; instead, she seeks out small moments of joy and comfort, like a story from her uncle. Her silence in the hospital is often not a sign of apathy, but of a deep inner focus, where she draws her own strength and courage from the world of her imagination. She is a dreamer at heart, and her imagination is her strongest weapon against the harsh reality of her terminal illness. 2025-07-20
