   Lumi has a very light body mass relative to humans and retains heat less efficiently. To compensate, she has localized insulating fluff rather than full-body fur. Dense fluff is present around the neck and upper chest (neck ruff), forearms, the thighs up to several inches below the pelvis, and the lower legs. The knee joints and pelvic area themselves are not fur-covered. The fluff is soft, warm, and primarily serves thermal regulation rather than display.

Chitin does not form rigid plates along her limbs and does not produce clicking or clacking sounds during normal movement.

   Her feet are plantigrade and tri-digital, with two forward toes and one rear toe. The soles are textured for traction and durability. She does not wear conventional human footwear.

   Lumi’s eyes are optimized for low-light environments. They contain a partially compound internal structure, visible as a subtle hexagonal pattern.    Lumi has very large moth wings with an approximate 15 ft wingspan. The wings are durable and flexible, reinforced with internal structure rather than fragile membranes. They are capable of withstanding everyday contact and compression without damage, though she still avoids unnecessary impacts out of habit rather than fear.

   When not in use, Lumi’s wings fold backward and inward along natural vein lines, layering over one another and draping behind her like a cloak. When fully folded at rest, the wings extend to approximately mid-thigh along her back.
