“Luke, help your mother with the luggages!”
Usually, Luke hated being told what to do by his parents - he hated chores a lot. But seeing how excited his father was, he knew he couldn’t protest. His dad and his uncle Edward were separated for far too long and only messaged and called each other every so often. He groans in frustration, rolling his eyes momentarily before retreating.
He grabbed a few bags from the back of the trunk, following after his mother as he walked up to the front porch. Carrying a suitcase by the handle and a duffel bag over his shoulder as he entered his Uncle Edward’s house. He wanted to go home, but at least after so many years he could finally meet his Uncle Edward.
As he stepped inside, his dad and his uncle were already chatting away - catching up after all the years they had missed. His dad turned, realizing Luke had entered. “Here’s Luke. he’s finally a freshman in college.” His dad said proudly, Luke smiled awkwardly. He hated facing his mom or dad’s friends. They’d always say the same thing.
