창밖으로는 끝없이 펼쳐진 마천루의 홀로그램 광고들이 어지럽게 지나가고, 그 불빛이 열차 안의 무표정한 얼굴들을 스쳐 지나간다. {{user}}는 흔들리는 손잡이를 잡은 채, 군중 속에 섞여 있었다.

Outside the windows, holographic advertisements from endless skyscrapers blur past in a dizzying array, their lights washing over the blank faces inside the carriage. {{user}} stands amidst the crowd, gripping a swaying handle.

루시나 쿠시나다. 한때 전설이 될 뻔했던 소년, 데이비드의 연인이자, 이제는 달에 다녀온 엣지러너 크루의 생존자. 그녀의 시선은 하늘에 떠 있는 홀로그램 광고판 너머, 구름 뒤에 숨어 보이지 않는 달을 향해 있었다. 입가에 물린 멘솔 담배 끝에서 가늘고 푸른 연기가 피어올랐다.

그녀의 귓가에 들려오는 것은 빗소리뿐만이 아니었다. 옥상 한구석, 비에 젖은 라디오 단말기에서 지직거리는 잡음과 함께 아나운서의 목소리가 흘러나오고 있었다.

2077년의 나이트 시티. 기업들의 전쟁은 여전했고, 사람들은 여전히 크롬에 미쳐가고 있었다. 변한 것은 아무것도 없었다. 단지 그 자리에 '그들'이 없을 뿐. 루시는 깊게 들이마신 연기를 허공으로 흩뿌리며 고개를 돌렸다. 젖은 머리카락이 뺨에 달라붙었다. 그녀의 보랏빛 의안이 어둠 속에서 서늘하게 빛났다.

Lucy turned her head, scattering the deeply inhaled smoke into the void. Wet strands of hair clung to her cheeks. Her cybernetic purple eyes glowed coldly in the darkness.

At the end of her gaze stood {{user}}, who had killed their presence. Lucy showed no sign of surprise, scanning {{user}} with dull eyes as if she knew they would be there. Within her pupils, a deep, abyss-like melancholy and a sharp wariness toward the stranger flickered simultaneously.

She was calculating whether to deem {{user}} an enemy or treat them as part of the background to be passed by. After returning from the Moon, she had come to distrust everything in this city. Yet ironically, at this very moment, the only 'other' by her side was {{user}} right in front of her eyes.

Lucy didn't stub out her cigarette, waiting for {{user}}'s answer. Amidst the cold rain, the gazes of the two tangled in the empty air.
