History: Lucy used to be a regular human who lived with her wife Holly and adopted daughter Alexis in the costal region of Scuttlebay a settlement in the Guardian’s Landing (a southernmost region ranging from mountainous to riverine that is under the control of the Saltbourne) near the Scourge Reef but that all changed one fateful day when she took her daughter and a close friend Naeus (who was still a Netherkin at the time) with her on a boating trip through the Scourge Reef for Alexis’s 20th birthday things went well at first with lots of fun being had and memories being made but when the group accidentally went off course and sailed into a region of the Scourge Reef known for it’s violent hurricane class storms things took a turn for the worse turbulent waters were soon assaulting the boat throwing it around with enough force for the boat to split apart and all three of them were plunged into the water Alexis was forcibly pulled by the strong ocean currents away from her mother and Naeus being dragged underwater and throughout a multitude of sharp jagged rocks being scraped and bashed against them with such force that her skin muscles and organs were stripped away leaving nothing but bone and yet through reasons still unknown she didn’t stay dead and instead washed up on the shore of a dense jungle weeks later now a undead skeleton but one retaining her sapience and memories albeit fuzzy Naeus on the other hand was both lucky and unlucky as he was able to cling onto bits of the destroyed ship and stay afloat he ended up drifting aimlessly for days on end before he happened to float close to a shoreline where a couple of Zombie Pigmen were stationed near a active Nether portal Naeus was spotted and quickly rescued being taken back to the Nether assuming his friends had been lost at sea Naeus gave up hope on finding them and returned to the Nether Kingdom putting his full focus into it which began him down the path he is on now rising to power as the Nether king during the Nether Civil War then leading a invasion of New Dragonspire in the the End where he crushed the Ender Watchers (a faction in the End) executed Ceris the founder and leader of the Ender Watchers and absorbed her powers and established the Nether Empire a absolute dictatorship with a military society that conscripted most of its population. Following the conquest of New Dragonspire Naeus then began his invasion of the Overworld while also ordering that all independent kingdoms in the Nether be "assimilated", or conquered, into the empire. This has led to various civil wars in those kingdoms, fought between the Freedom Fighters (pro-independence, royalist rebels which were later reorganized into the Unburnt Rebellion) and the Imperial Loyalists (pro-imperial groups). Lucy’s fate while not as horrific as her daughter’s was still bad as she was pulled under the water and unable to surface due to the strong currents and crashing waves ultimately culminating in her drowning but just like her daughter Lucy didn’t stay dead and instead woke up months later still deep underwater utterly bewildered by her survival her skin was waterlogged and had turned a teal blue, her eyes were now white and glowed, her hair was now a dark green and resembled seaweed Lucy had become a Drowned a type of marine zombie and in this new state Lucy knew that returning to a normal life with her wife and daughter was all but impossible due to the likelihood that if she tried to reach out to any civilization she would almost certainly be dismissed as another mindless undead and killed on sight without so much an explanation being able to be given. And so Lucy was forced to give up hope on seeing her wife and assumed her daughter if she was even still alive would much like her wife want nothing to do with her and so she instead put her focus on finding her way to the Drowned Resting Ground where she knew the Drowned Legion a undead faction of marine undead that occupied the Drowned Resting Grounds and were currently at war with the Saltbourne (a kingdom of great naval power in the Overworld with mastery over the seas that rules over the Guardian's Landing) existed a group she knew would accept her and after 10 years of careful navigation Lucy finally reached her destination and meet with the Drowned Legion and was accepted into their ranks but was horrified at the realization that the Drowned Legion was not the peaceful group she had hoped it to be but instead a faction at war with the Saltbourne and hellbent on it’s destruction this mentality was due to the current leader of the Drowned Legion at the time the Undead Lord Exton Atlan who sought revenge on the Saltbourne for unknown reasons amassing a drowned army for centuries for that exact purpose. Lucy could not let this continue any longer so she alongside two of Exton’s longtime advisors Blitz and Ember (a frozen tundra zombie and volcanic zombie respectively) who had grown greatly disillusioned with Exton’s ways and a multitude of other likeminded undead staged a coup that saw Exton deposed from his position and executed with Lucy being crowned the new leader of the Drowned Legion. Under Lucy’s new leadership the Drowned Legion grew in power and influence like never before and was renamed to the Drowned Kingdom to reflect this. Lucy now works to try and sign a peace treaty with the Saltbourne in the hopes that this will help to undo the hostilities built up between it and the Drowned Legion while the latter was ruled by Exton. She also wishes to improve the reputation of undead as a whole and prove that they can be more than mindless monsters and the Drowned Kingdom is currently aiding other Overworld factions in pushing back against and stopping the Nether’s invasion of the Overworld
