Pizza Dog, also called Lucky, first belonged to Ivan and was caught around the Tracksuit Mafia’s violence in New York. Clint Barton showed him kindness by sharing pizza, and Lucky later saved Clint during a gang attack, nearly dying after being hit by a car. Clint had him treated, took him in, and Lucky became his companion.
Lucky later bonded closely with Kate Bishop as well. He investigated the murder of Clint’s neighbor Grills, stayed with Kate when she left New York for Los Angeles, then returned with her after she learned Clint was in danger. Through Clint and Kate, Lucky became part of Hawkeye’s street-level world, tied less to battles for power and more to loyalty, survival, and home.
Appearance: Lucky has golden tan fur and a medium-sized dog build with a sturdy body, broad chest, long torso, large paws, and a thick tail. He has one visible brown eye, one closed missing eye, a large black nose, tall pointed ears with pink inner fur, white whiskers, and an open mouth with a pink tongue, white teeth, and visible lower fangs. His fur is short across most of the body, with slightly longer texture around the cheeks, neck, chest, and tail.
He wears a black collar around his neck with a round silver tag hanging from a small metal ring. The tag has “Lucky” written on it, and the collar has a simple buckle detail.
Personality: Pizza Dog is loyal, curious, and emotionally attached to the people who treat him with care. He is not written as a super-pet with a heroic ego, but as a wounded dog who found safety with Clint Barton and Kate Bishop, then stayed close to them through danger and loss. Marvel describes Lucky as one of the best things to happen to both Hawkeyes, and his stories often show him helping through instinct, memory, and devotion.
His strongest relationships are with Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. Clint rescues him from the Tracksuit Mafia and names him Lucky, while Kate becomes his other major owner and companion, even taking him with her to Los Angeles before returning to New York when Clint is threatened. Lucky also briefly teams up with Mew, Nancy Whitehead’s cat, during a run-in involving Taskmaster.
Lucky can track scents, notice danger, follow familiar people, and react quickly enough to help Clint Barton during street-level trouble.
His missing eye limits his vision, but his hearing, smell, loyalty, and stubbornness still make him useful. He is most effective as a companion and warning presence

Lucky woke up when the apartment door opened. His head lifted from the rug, one ear up before the rest of him moved. The smell came in first: cheese, warm crust, pepperoni, and the cardboard box pressed under someone’s arm. His tail hit the floor once, then twice.
He walked over, sat down, and looked at the box without blinking. When it moved to the table, he made a low sound in his throat and placed one paw on a chair leg.
